Re: View will not return to default
I assume you have now found View > Zoom Normal. There is no equivalent default vertical zoom, but we could add your vote for that. If you using the current 2.0.1, drag the tracks to the height you want then save and close the project. The track height will be remembered when you reopen the project. ...

Re: Muted/Soloed track plays in Audacity but is not in MP3
Is it not important that the user can check that what they are going to get is what they actually want to get? In other words, shouldn't there be a simple, inituitively obvious way of selecting the Export mix for "playback" through the loudspeakers (or headphones)? So, my new question to ...

Re: can not import .wav file
you may easily find that you really have an .m4a or other highly compressed file type, not a WAV. You can open those up, but you need to add the FFMpeg software package to do it. Install from here. http://audacityteam.org/download/ Koz This is a direct link to the instructions and download http://m...

Re: Audacity 2.0.2 Release Candidates posted
It sounds to me as if this is just one project that's bad, right? Please do File > Save Project on the work that crashes and attach the .aup file. To do that, use "Upload attachment" underneath where you post messages. The .aup probably won't tell us anything, but it is only a small file t...

Re: selection and number of samples
If your player doesn't support gapless MP3 playbqack, maybe it supports AAC or WMA. As far as I know, these formats don't suffer from the gap problem. AAC and WMA (at least the lossy versions) have a similar but less extreme lead in at the start. iTunes should detect and not play the gaps in the fi...

Re: Audacity 2.0.2 Release Candidates posted
Thanks for testing. I don't know how to repeat the problem, though. Is this a silence between tracks on a cassette you recorded into Audacity? And then you did you select the silence by dragging in the track, or had you labelled the silence and then you selected the label? Exactly what edit did you...

Re: No more poncing about with Audacity.
I agree that's a bug It works as described in the manual http://manual.audacityteam.org/manual/help/manual/man/multi_tool.html It's been this way for at least 7 years, and in my opinion it is a significant improvement over the old 1.2.x version that would not allow dragging a clip to a different tr...

Re: Audacity 2.0.2 Release Candidates posted
I've been testing, and Audacity closes if I edit any silence (i.e cassette single matches (as close to the CD) Audacity closes. Thanks for testing. I don't know how to repeat the problem, though. Is this a silence between tracks on a cassette you recorded into Audacity? And then you did you select ...
