Re: export multiple silently loses data
The behaviour of muted tracks is different depending on whether you are listening, exporting, exporting multiple or doing a mix and render. (and that imho is bananas ;) ) It is arguable whether muted and selected tracks should be rendered, at the moment they are. Render is not export. The only thin...

Re: export multiple silently loses data
The bug is still open, but the bug is not that muted tracks are not exported, as that is intentional (even for export multiple). I understand that; I'm saying that the current behavior is surprising and worthless. That is why the bug is still open. In the case where you do "export multiple&quo...

Re: export multiple silently loses data
Hi, "it is intentional that muted tracks are not exported" is not a resolution, rather an explanation. The bug is still open, but the bug is not that muted tracks are not exported, as that is intentional (even for export multiple). You can avoid using the Mute buttons by unsoloing the prev...

Re: Narrowband Noise
I'm quite tempted to remove the "stereo" feature. If someone really wants stereo they can generate to mono tracks and join them together. That would certainly be a lot more simple. It's a shame that Nyquist does not know if the track is mono or stereo. If I'm right that brainwave entraine...

Re: Professional sounding fade out.
The "package" that I'm proposing is a "more versatile fade effect" (as described above) plus the "Pro Fade Out" effect, to replace "Cross Fade In" and "Cross Fade Out" That would not fully balance Pro Fade Out because there would still be no non-lin...

Re: Help understanding Sampling Rates in Windows 7
The link I gave is in the Main Wiki ( the place for extra tutorials, tips and tricks http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Audacity_Wiki_Home_Page ) rather than the Manual ( http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/ ). 1) Select a Sound Input Device from the Sound Control Panel (ex. stereo mix) 2) In the Contro...

Re: Enabling input devices.
I found SoundLeech temperamental at first on Win 7 x64. I did have to reboot, and it would not record until I had actually chosen a different capture folder than the default. But now it works fine even after rebooting and changing the capture folder a few times. Also it allows you to not hear what y...

Re: Export in AAC 320 KBPS
Hi, I apoligize for not explaining better, but whenever I try to export a track in M4A form in 500 quality it always is higher or lower quality than 320 kbps. Does this mean I'm doing something wrong? No. As already explained, AAC exported by Audacity is not constant bit rate (CBR), but variable bi...

Re: Status of Mezzo dev, Audacity 2.0 Backend
There are a few small things that bug me. Not being able to save to .mp3, .wma, .wav, etc. from the save menu is a big one Do you mean directly from the File Menu? If so, what do you suggest - we cannot have 14 separate File menu export items for each format. Perhaps we need a way to make shortcuts...

Re: Change colors?
"Theming" has been partially developed a while ago, but is unfinished, so disabled. You can see what it did here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Theme_Preferences Meantime I'll add your vote for more progress on customising colours. Note that although there is no way to save and load t...
