Re: problem with the subliminal plug in
I was thinking of pure placebo effect ( see halfway down http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 92#p157292 ).steve wrote: As far as I'm aware there is no substantiated evidence to support the idea that any humans can hear frequencies much above 20 kHz, consciously or otherwise.

Re: Opening the program
Bob, I'm not very clear about the symptoms here. Are you recording overnight? Or do the problems only start in the morning after something happens overnight? And are the problems that, without reboot, Audacity either does not respond, or the recording breaks up? And this occurs both with Presonus an...

Re: How do you turn off saving an old copy of a file?
What Steve said is correct. Do you want to vote for some way to clean up the -old* files? I am not sure what an idiot-proof method would be, but possibly it would be included in some future "project manager" utility to delete unwanted projects, and perhaps there could be a preference to cl...

Re: plug in gverb with vst
My name is Frederico and I tried to put the gberb with the vst in the plug in folder and it didn't appear in the effects of the audacity. I have the audacity 2.0.2. A LADPSA version of GVerb is already included with Audacity (it is underneath the dividing line in the Effect Menu). If you have added...

Re: Suddenly got error message
What window to choose different options would not open - do you mean when you right-click over the speaker icon by the system clock and choose playback or recording devices? Are there any input or output choices when you look in Audacity's Device Toolbar ? If not, that explains the error. You could ...

Re: Audacity imports
You can install the optional FFmpeg library to import WMA: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#ffdown . FFmpeg may or may not help with "Linear PCM" - it depends what headers the file has. What error appears when you import a "Linear PCM" file ...

Re: problem with the subliminal plug in
ok its working. but theoretic question.. can my speaker produce 44100 HZ? I check a few speaker systems, and I think I should buy very expensive speaker to produce such sound. Humans can't (consciously) hear higher than about 20000 Hz. Any given sample rate cannot carry a frequency higher than half...
