Re: Where best to put plug-in data files?

Can you give a simple explanation of what the helper application is trying to do? Is this a way of controlling settings of a family of Nyquist plug-ins, or providing loadable presets?

Does the helper file have to be kept together with the plug-ins it relates to?

Re: My first tentative posting

Sorry you received no response. I did glance at your note and the links, but your message was short on specifics (particularly as to what exactly the " 21stCmusic format" was). Also bear in mind we often get invitations asking us to help someone develop their "killer app" for fre...

Re: Nyquist Workbench for Nightly builds

Robert, I'll add your vote that you'd like Audacity to progress on releasing the mod-script-pipe scripting module (a number of people have asked for this now that http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Scripting is clearer about the feature) and also on releasing nyquist workbench. I'm not clear though ...

Re: Cannot record, get blue flat line

What exactly did you do when you "factory restored" the computer?

Did you reinstall the drivers of the sound device? This is normally necessary if you reinstall Windows - see here http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Updat ... ce_Drivers .

I cannot get the download for Lame_v3.99.3_for_Windows.exe http://lame1.buanzo.com.ar/#lamewindl The download simply doesn't start. I've cleared cache/cookies, rebooted, nothing. Is there a mirror site or another way to download it? Anyone know? Only if buanzo's site is down, you can use this link ...

Re: LAUSON CASSETTE CONVERTER TO MP3 RECORDING PROBLEMS

Have you read http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/recording_with_usb_turntables.html ? To hear the cassette in the computer speakers while you are recording it, Transport > Software Playthrough. Try Transport > Rescan Audio Devices then look in Audacity's Device Toolbar where you were quoting from ...

Re: Can't save or export audacity files

Did you possibly run out of disk space at some point? Clearly Explorer doesn't see the AU file in the message, but you could search your computer for it just in case - if you find it, you may find the other files. I run Audacity 1.2.6, and had no idea there was a new version at all before today. If ...

Re: Please help record cassette with RealTek

Realtek does have a control panel but it is pretty lame/cartoonish and doesn't seem to provide much help. [...] And the control panel (mixer)basically allows for muting of channels but that is it. You can't do anything with the input recording levels. Does the input side let you "mute" in...
