Re: AGC - Automatic Gain Control
This plugin runs uber slow in Audacity 2.0.2. Chriss Capel's compressor runs at least 10 times faster, and I'm not exagerating. Any idea why? That's strange. On my machine this plug-in runs a bit faster than Chriss Capel's compressor. What sort of machine are you on? Thunderbol1000T was on Windows ...

Re: AGC - Automatic Gain Control
My one reservation about removing the Leveller effect is that it is the only "Distortion" effect that is shipped with Audacity. Personally I find the Leveller effect pretty useless for "evening out the volume", but it can come in useful as a distortion effect, especially as it i...

Re: USB HID Joysticks and Gamepads
I think the more generally applicable you can make your solution, the more chance the Audacity developers would be interested.
Have you looked at other open source media programs to see what solutions they have adopted?

Re: USB HID Joysticks and Gamepads
So the idea is that when Audacity is running, you can use any standard USB HID but it will only talk to Audacity? Or that the user must use your HID, which does nothing unless Audacity is running? It seems to me we are not at the first step yet, which would be for Audacity to work with standards- ba...

Re: Audacity 2.0--Complaint
I have been using Audacity for years for personal editing projects. However, I have had major trouble in the last few days trying to get it to work right. Every time I try to import an audio file, not only does Audacity crash, but my computer freezes completely and I have to do an emergency power s...

Re: Stero recording - Left and right channels
I'm an Audacity newbie. 1. I am using Windows Vista Home Premium. 2. I downloaded Audacity yesterday so I assume I downloaded the latest version. 3. I followed the instructions for recording with USB Turntables. 4. When I record or playback, the right channel in the metering toolbox jumps around, b...

Re: Cannot save long file (different problem)
Another trick that often works is File > Exit (which is active in your first screenshot). This will probably ask you to save changes and avoids having to force quit. But make a copy of the temp folder first, as Steve says.

Re: Cannot record, get blue flat line
It's really hard for us to see over your shoulder, much as we would like to help. I would try a process of elimination. Try a different mic. Try the same mic recording with Windows Sound Recorder (click the Windows globe and type "sound recorder" (without quotes) in the search box). In the...

OK, It seems like it's two votes for that including Robert's vote.steve wrote:Could we have Nyquist support added into that feature request?Gale Andrews wrote:I'll add your vote that you'd like Audacity to progress on releasing the mod-script-pipe scripting module

Re: Corrupted File!
I have attached my log to this post. This is just the log that generates when I open the corrupted project. This project no longer prompts me with an error message though, it just appears as a blank project that runs for a long time. Thanks for the log. As you guessed there is no longer anything us...
