Re: Roland UM-1G driver not recognized (Win7)

I'm trying to record drums with a Roland UM-1G MIDI interface, I have the Win 7 32-bit driver installed, even so, Audacity doesn't recognize it, the only options I have for recording input are the built in microphone and the Microsoft Sound Driver. Did any of you have a similar problem? How can I f...

Re: M-Audio Fast Track and Audacity

I am running Audacity 2.0.2 on a Macbook Air with OS X 10.8.2. I am using the M-Audio Fast Track by Avid to record an acoustic guitar. The M-Audio connects to the Macbook air via USB. I recorded some guitar the other night but it sounds super tinny, kind of robotic, and kind of muffled. Please atta...

Re: Recording from Project Debut III Usb Turntable

Audacity version 2.0.2 I am trying to record a stereo signal via USB to my Windows 7 PC. It's clearly recording two channels but I can only seem to adjust the recording level on one channel (the left channel). Is there a way to adjust the recording level in the right channel, too? If the Debut has ...

Re: Adjustable Fade

Can you give a couple of examples of those you cannot create? "Professional" sounding fade-ins. What that is missing in the v26 examples would most contribute to that? There are 6 fade-in shapes available in v26. Testing these fades on a variety of music, in most cases none of the availab...

Re: Adjustable Fade

[...]There is also quite complex logic involved in working out what is valid data and what is not. The code needs to be able to "handle" error cases as well as valid data - the plug-in should not just fail with no error message and should not fail with a cryptic error message that only ap...

Re: Uncompressed Export Setup

"Other Uncompressed Files" does remember its last choice, but you cannot add that format choice to chains - that is a feature request for which I'll add your vote. It may be possible to multiple select and import the files, perhaps 50 at a time, perform your edits then File > Export Multip...

Re: Getting an audio feedback when starting record session

Steve, I understand file sharing. What I don't understand how to do is get a screen shot of what is happening. Any thoughts on how this is done in Windows XP. I would guess Steve is asking for an audio sample of the hum. Exactly what is the USB device (make and model number) ? Does it have the late...

Re: Adjustable Fade

I think this depends what Nyquist can do. If it can switch to dB if it sees the case-insensitive string "dB" at least once anywhere in the box (irrespective of what comes before or after that string), it could be worth thinking about IMO. And maybe even if e.g. those two characters had to...

Re: Adjustable Fade

'How about moving the posts that concern a "Pro Fade In" effect to a seperate topic? I I can do that later, but I think that it is highly relevant to this discussion. Even if relevant, this topic will soon be 200 posts :o. Anyone not already involved won't know where to start. I think you...
