Re: Chains + Equalization
What I want is a Treble Boost chain followed by a Bass Boost chain but neither "sticks". I just get that same unchangeable default. Is this a known bug? Am I missing something? If you use the current Audacity 2.1.2 from http://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows then you can apply a Cha...

Re: USB mic recognised but not recording
Can you attach an image of the Recording tab of Windows Sound ? You can capture an image with Windows Snipping Tool. Please see here for how to attach files: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=64936 . Also right-click over the mic. Please list the exact options you see (or you ca...

Re: Suppress echo effect ?
All that and it doesn't explain the odd ability to marginally improve the performance by simply using the whole shebang as a Profile. That won't work in Noise Reduction like it did in Noise Removal because Sensitivity is not a straight dB reduction now. So in Noise Reduction, select a reverb tail b...

Re: Audacity Frozen after Auto Duck Selection?
We don't make a 2.12 version. If you really have that, that could be the problem. I'll test this later, but I don't think it is a known problem unless you have some other real time effect open as well as Auto Duck.

Re: Saved over a file...PLEASE HELP
If it was a WAV or AIFF file and you imported it using the "Read directly (faster)" option, then the original file is still there with "-old" attached to the end of the name. That is the only exception to the "you're dead" rule.

Re: Portable Settings
OK. I'm getting it now. How can I set it so that it begins where I left off - with my last project? I don't see a setting for that. Generally, saved projects reopen with the same visible contents as when you closed them, but not if you save the project, do something which is not in the Undo/Redo me...

Re: Recording Volume Slider?
I cross-posted in the forum looking for Windows help. What exactly is the practical problem? USB inputs tend to be "hot" on later Windows, actually applying positive gain at high input levels and less gain at lower levels. Sometimes there is a difference (in either direction) between USB ...

Re: No Windows Menu after updating Audacity to 2.12 on my Ma
We don't make 2.12, but 2.1.2 has no Window menu, that is correct. The menu will be partially restored in the next 2.1.3 version of Audacity. Meantime you can use COMMAND + ` (backtick) to navigate project windows with the keyboard.
