Re: Detecting occurences of a sound

I was thinking of something like the Save/Manage Curves button in Eq. Then I could save and name some settings, and load the one I need by looking at the names I've given them. I probably only need two or three, but it might help users get going with spectrograms by providing some predefined ones s...

Re: Can't get my nnsl chroma plugin to work! Help!

Have you restarted Audacity? If you click Edit > Preferences: Effects, is the "VAMP" box checked?

VAMP plug-ins in Audacity will probably only have a tabular interface, not a rich GUI.

If you still need help, please give a link to the plug-in.

Re: DJ EZX-fade

Thanks, Steve. I thought it was broken until I figured that the track fading out had to be the upper one. :) I find it a bit "lumpy" but maybe this is not surprising as I like to hear a fair amount of what is being faded in right from the start of the cross fade. One song I was fading into...

Re: How to register a new effects ?

How to register a new effects ? I do not see any possibility to register new effects plug-ins dll . Is there a chance? See here for VST plug-ins: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#vst_install . If it is a LADSPA plug-in for Windows (DLL), just put it in the &qu...

Did you read the link I gave before http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/USB_t ... hite_Noise ? White noise is exactly what it is.

Are you saying "we" is someone at Audacity "We" is Audacity Team: http://audacityteam.org/about/credits . I'll look forward to it not continuing to happen -- but because in my multi-tracks (max of 9, 10 tracks) this muting ONLY happens to the stereo drum track, I would think it ...

Re: Edit > Labelled Regions

But you joined the labels.

With the current behaviour I don't need a separate label and label track for the sentence. That's why I joined the words.

Of course I see your use case. Yours and mine are incompatible.

Re: Importing .VOB files ...

I don't know that FFmpeg directly supports MPEG2 embedded audio and/or Video Objects (vob). I don't have any problems importing VOB files into Audacity as long as there is no copy protection. Try http://www.dvddecrypter.org.uk/ - a guide is at http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/dvddec.htm. This is a ...

Re: Two tracks to one

if I use the 2.0.2 version of Audacity, there is the possibility to separate the 2 voices that has been merge in to 1 tract??? If you have exported the two stereo tracks so they are now mixed into one track, you can't unmix them in any version, it's like pouring milk into your coffee. If you saved ...

Re: Edit > Labelled Regions

When we had the hoo-hah about "Retain labels if selection snaps to a label edge", you argued I think that if a selection touched a label, then the label should be included in the selection. Is this not somewhat analogous? You can never please everyone; if I am labelling words and then want...
