Re: Audacity Very Slow To Startup
I'm on Debian Squeeze 32 bit, 3 GB RAM 2 GHz Intel Core 2. Launching Audacity takes about 3 seconds, so yes 30 to 40 seconds does seem to be very slow. Audacity takes 30 seconds to launch for me on Ubuntu 12.04 32-bit on a 1 GB RAM, 1 GHz single core netbook, but no app opens faster than 10 seconds...

Re: Best way to move some labels to another label track
I would regard it as unexpected that if you change the track number for the third label, for example, then hit ENTER, the selection jumps back to the first label. But you can arrow down to the next label you want to move?

Re: Recording Skype via Blue Yeti on Mac
Audacity cannot record two input sources at once. On Mac you will probably have to pay for a specialised recording program. You could try Audio Hijack Pro from http://rogueamoeba.com/audiohijackpro/ . If you must record Skype with Audacity you have to use LineIn ( http://www.rogueamoeba.com/freebies...

Re: USB Device Not Recognized
Bought a "Super USB Cassette Capture" and it shipped with Audacity. Your forum looks great, I'm just not seeing a drivers section to enable the device. Same error message on two different computers, both running Windows 7. We don't make any USB or other kinds of hardware, so we don't stor...

Re: Best way to move some labels to another label track
My next task is to move a few individual labels into their own track, and I see Edit Labels as the best way to do that. I still find selecting between the labels with the guidance of the yellow Snap To Guides the quickest way for that (if of course you are zoomed out so you can see all the labels)....

Re: Custom Keyboard Shortcut Not Saving
Bug 594 is already marked as platform independent (not just one operating system) and it is marked "P2" (the second highest priority) so it has to be fixed before the next Audacity release. That was only true when we had the previous Beta / "stable" distinction. P2 is now up to ...

Re: Best way to move some labels to another label track
the surprise for me was the difference in behaviour between selecting a point to paste into and pasting "over" the whole track.[...] I wasn't surprised it overwrote when I selected the whole track, but I assumed it would insert and move the other labels along if I chose a single point, li...

Re: Getting an audio feedback when starting record session
Thanks Gale. I've since taken your advice and pluged into one of the few usb ports that I have and haven't had a problem with white noise so far. Would a usb add-in card be considered a hub or the same as on board usb ports? I would assume something like a PCI card USB adaptor would be fine. The pr...
