Re: Muddled playback
I'm afraid that's too vague for us to diagnose what the problem is. Check this FAQ in case this is the problem: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_recording_troubleshooting.html#enhancements . If that does not help, is it possible to attach a short audio file (maximum 1 MB) of what the problem...

Re: Musical Fade-In effect
Is a variable filtered fade in effective in making it more "musical" / less automatic irrespective of the fade type? You may have noticed on TV / film or real life, when moving out of a noisy pub/club the sound from inside not only becomes quieter, but also becomes a lot more "muted&...

Re: Refresh selection during region label adjustment
Wiki Feature Requests has Moving a label draws original and current edge(s) in waveform without having to select the label I think if that was generalised more "moving or resizing a label draws original and current edge(s) in waveform" (less the "without having to select the label&qu...

Re: Uncompress FLAC to WAV
A more valid reason for preferring WAV to FLAC is perhaps that not every audio application will play FLAC out-of-the-box.

Re: bigger fonts
Windows can adjust the DPI for text and thus in many case the items that contain the text. However Audacity isn't fully DPI compliant. The spinboxes (TimeTextControls) are one of the elements that don't scale up when DPI is increased. So maybe a first step is fixing that, but I agree with Ed in so f...

Re: Where is the Genre Listing Located?
What change exactly do you want to make? When you save a custom genre list you can find it at genres.txt in the Audacity folder for application data . If you want to modify the list so that when you reset it, it defaults to something of your own choosing, see src/Tags.cpp in the source code. Changin...

Re: recording device
It seems Audacity does not yet recognise the USB capture device. Make sure you have latest Audacity 2.0.2: http://audacityteam.org/download/ . See Help > About Audacity for the version you have now. Before launching Audacity, make sure Windows recognises the USB device, then start Audacity. See here...

Re: sélectionner audio in particulières
Hello I am not sure about the specifics of your question as I do not speak native French. Audacity does not have good multi-channel recording support on Windows unless you build Audacity with ASIO support. Please read http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Multichannel_Recording and let us know if you st...
