Re: Won't SAVE work in ANY format;crashed, thenCUT toolcorru
I did Force Quit. Then, I dragged Audacity into Applications to Applications, & opened it from there & everything seems to be working fine-- I ned to double-check a few things later but Save appears functioning as well as Toolbar functions (cut, paste, etc.) It attempted to Recover my files...

Re: Musical Fade-In effect
If the configuration tool produces a waveform to "illustrate" the curve type then it cannot display a message to confirm what settings have been set or where the preference file has been written - Nyquist plug-ins can only return one result. If I trust the configure plug-in to have made t...

Re: AUDACITY ET WINDOWS 8
I don't really understand the problem, unless you are saying Audacity 2.0.x records at the wrong speed from Line6 (so the recording's beats do not match with the click track) and 1.2.x does not. To make it easier to cut on the click track beats, label the beats with Analyze > Silence Finder (set &qu...

Re: Audacity won't open - keeps crashing
I wish Lion didn't automatically hide the user library - finally set it to permanently show and that sped things up. The User Library? I thought it hid the system settings and the System Library. Hiding the user library was new in Lion: http://osxdaily.com/2011/07/22/access-user-library-folder-in-o...

Re: Recording over a track, erasing previously recorded soun
I do like the comment that you can punch-in a bunch of times and pick the one you want. So it's not actually destroying the underlying track. I am in favour of "non-destructive punch-in" recording (like many other DAW applications) but very strongly opposed to the old (tape machine style)...

Re: Musical Fade-In effect
Personally I would use the programmable pro fade because I don't like the standalone Pro Fade Out at all for reasons stated. and you wouldn't mind downloading an optional plug-in to do so? Personally, I don't mind downloading it, though naturally a few more types of fade would appeal more. Also I w...

Re: Adjustable Fade
(1) I'm still voting for two pairs of EQ Power presets (one of which is "Rounded", but of course neither is named as an EQ Fade explicitly). (2) I think Cosine EQ Power is much better than Log (on its own terms and in difference from Square Root) for the second EQ Power. So that makes me t...
