Re: No sound from recording - Cassette2USB
I followed the procedures you recommended, and still get only the machine noise from the converter. You said I may to check if the cassette player is actually playing the tape properly, but how would I do that? You should double-check some things first. Make sure you can see the USB recording devic...

Re: No playback volume
I get show on the output meter when Software Playthrough is on and I get echo. That part at least, is perfectly correct. Audacity is accepting the show and turning a copy of it around immediately for you to hear -- but is doing it "one computer late." That's the echo. That's the time it t...

Re: SACD format
Note that you will not fit much audio onto a CD at 192 kHz 24 bit. Depending on the CD, the capacity will be around 11 minutes. True, but the Linn files test files are very short, at least. And I thought another objective was burning as a DVD, where space will be less of a problem? It is also very ...

Re: Opening audio in Audacity?
Well, I changed the 'name' of the file to the club's name. But it says the format is MP3. The length (duration?) is 2:15:52. Think I'll wait to install the FFmpeg until I hear from you, concerning my answers to your questions. Audacity in principle supports MP3 files over two hours. But Audacity de...

Re: SACD format
If you want 1-bit DSD at 2.8224 MHz sample rate, Audacity does not support this. Yes, this is why I have sent my first message to this "development" topic. Audacity does not have the resources to add support for this format at this time, but we can add your vote. I would expect since DSD ...

Re: Can't record from cassette player
It is better to start a new topic than attach to someone else's topic, so I started this for you. I am using windows vista. I am trying to record through output from a cassette player using the blue input jack. I have gone through all the remedies suggested in this forum. The audio device is neither...

Re: per application recording
SoundLeech is quite temperamental. It would not record for me until I changed the file save directory. Sometimes it seems to need the audio to be playing before you start "leeching" and sometimes it seems you need to start leeching before playing the audio. Once it gets started recording i...

Re: No playback volume
OK, I'll try it again. I am using Windows XP Pro on a HP 5750 Compaq. I have the current version of Audacity which I installed on Nov 20. I am going from my dual cassette deck using the "Play/Out" on the back of the deck. The output from the deck is plugged into the "Blue" input...

Re: No sound from recording - Cassette2USB
I am trying to record a music tape from a Cassette2USB Converter by ClearClick, and I am having trouble with the software. I am using Windows Vista. I have set the recording device to Microphone Array USB PnP Audio Device and the playback device to Speakers (Connexant high definition). My control p...

Re: dBlue Glitch VST now works* in Audacity
Thanks, Trebor. I still have the same problem that I always had - it seems to only apply one effect (apparently varied by "pattern bank") irrespective of which of the nine effects you choose (I don't have any effects "soloed"). I don't see any "reverse" or "stretch...
