I will check out the format other then MP3s to see what I will use. I have always used MP3 and like my eyes my hearing isn't all that good and MP3 always sounded great. Please do not post the same message twice. I deleted the duplicate.
You ran out of disk space. Audacity then corrupts what it has already recorded by continuing to record.

This is normal if you don't set Windows to record from the USB turntable in stereo.
