Re: Sounds in the background. Windows 7-64bit
We prefer to only answer questions about Audacity on this Forum. As I am sure you know, applications' audio is mixed on Windows unless you have introduced customisations. Of course there may be some setting or issue with "Flight Simulator" that makes it take exclusive use of the sound devi...

Re: Muddled playback
Remember that after drag-selecting a few seconds of audio, you want File > Export Selection and choose WAV. File > Export will export the whole track. Is this a USB cassette deck or not? If you are not sure, Is the pin at the end of the cable (where you plug it into the computer) flat (USB) or point...

Re: couldn't write to file

If I looked at things correct this eve I have Ver. 1.3 Beta (unicode) , Ram 2.00 GB (1.87 usable), Intel Core :5CPU [email protected].20 GHz 3.19GHz, ...

Re: posting the screen view
Read the 'attaching ' link but still am not clear on how to actually show the screen display. When I posted the above it was from a cell phone pic I snapped and then copied over.I'm sure there is some simple way to do this...but.... I am not sure what your issue is. You could have pressed the "...

Re: Not liking silence?
If my mixed track (all tracks mixed and rendered) ends at 2:10, is it possible to have another track sounding at 2:12? (There would be two seconds of silence). Do you mean a second clip in the same track, starting at 2:12? Yes. Click at 2.12 and paste the audio in. Then you have two clips in the tr...

Re: Recording - No Devices Found
Hi, I recently built a new PC with an Asus Z77 Sabretooth motherboard which has onboard HD audio. On my last pc which had a soundcard Audacity worked fine. Now with the integrated audio, I can't record. Audacity detects the RealteK HD audio for playback but not for recording: Try enabling the input...

Re: My Mac laptop says no to Audacity 2.2
apps are not from "an identified developer" Doesn't that just mean it's going to complain about anything that didn't come from the Apple Store? No. There are now three settings in Preferences. Even the moderately restrictive "allow from App Store and Identified developers" block...

Re: My Mac laptop says no to Audacity 2.2
Ok Gale, I'll keep this in mind. I'm getting along in years and looking for the easy way without using up more space then needed but getting good sound as possible. If you just want decent quality, and you just want to make an MP3 once and then won't need to change the file again after that, MP3 sh...
