Re: Unable to export an audacity project as an MP3
Since the last post I have encountered a third problem, but to the two projects which I originally cited. These are called Arcas 3 and Maida Unveiled. Tracks > Unmute All Tracks before you export (muted tracks are not exported). Unfortunately there is no warning if some tracks are muted, which is a...

Re: Unable to export an audacity project as an MP3
Since the last post I have encountered a third problem, but to the two projects which I originally cited. These are called Arcas 3 and Maida Unveiled. I can listen easily enough to both of these projects within Audacity but I am unable to export them as MP3 to upload to Soundcloud so others -(the O...

Re: no sound on Sony USB turntable
Before the post: the output device was selected; so was Software Playthrough; and Linein was running. Yes, I read what was in the manual. . It is always helpful to state what you have tried already. The problem seems to be with the mixer toolbar. Its options are: disable meter, stop/start monitorin...

Re: AUP file corrupt
Thanks for the AUP file, but it just zeros (no data). Did Audacity crash when you saved the AUP file, or did the computer lose power while it was saving the project? Please look at Help > About Audacity and tell us all three numbers for Audacity version. If you do not have the current 2.0.2, please ...

Re: Killerringer Not Showing Up In Menu
Mac cannot run DLL's. You will have to use Windows (or Windows under Boot Camp) if you want killerringer. There is a Nyquist Ring Modulator here http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Nyquist_Effect_Plug-ins#Ring_modulator . Or there is a "Ringmod with LFO (ringmod_1i1o1l, 1189)" in the LADSPA ...

Re: Naming 6 Tracks on my Vinyl.
Please read this Tutorial http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/splitting_a_recording_into_separate_tracks.html. Note that Audacity doesn't export artwork in audio files. This also means that if an imported audio file has artwork, Audacity will remove the artwork from it when exporting that file. You...

Re: AUP file corrupt
Try using File > Open or FIle > Recent Files to open the AUP, not Project > Import > Audio.
If that does not help, attach the AUP file. Here is how to attach files http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 49&t=64936 .

Re: no sound on Sony USB turntable
Set the output device in Audacity Device Toolbar http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/device_toolbar.html to the built-in output. Click Transport > Software Playthrough (on/off) so that it is "on" (checked) Turn the output volume up (left-hand slider) in Audacity Mixer Toolbar: http://manu...

Re: Auto add extension on export
If the file name includes dots then you have to add the extension yourself. See here http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_opening_and_saving_files.html#extensions . There could be a checkbox to force the appropriate default extension to be added even if the file name has dots. We may do that at ...
