Re: Audio/Video Transcription Software

I split this from http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=201581#p201581 . When I am transcribing and translating conversations, I need the freedom to type in the results. This asks for further features, such as: expanding pauses Slow down of speech Automatic repetition of certain chunks (para...

Re: libsoxr library in Windows x64 platform

But I can't understand one think. x64 platform doesn't support inline asm. How you can compile this with inline asm in microsoft compiler / x64 platform. I am using VC++ express 2012. I have looked the last version of libsoxr and these inline asm code still there. I thought perhaps VS 2008 still su...

Re: When I export to MP3, the files show up blank..? [Pictur

So, I have been working on mixing together a couple tracks using Audacity, and whenever I try to export the projects as MP3s, they show up as blank files: http://content.screencast.com/users/CaleAmbroz/folders/Jing/media/a7145a65-efd5-4162-9bfd-294261608d19/2012-12-29_1358.png I haven't used Audaci...

Re: Recover .au files (no .aup file)

On what basis do you say the aup files were corrupted? Because Audacity won't open them? Is it worth attaching an AUP for us to see? Generally (in my experience) Linux and Windows won't read zip files created on the other operating system very well if you are sending them across a network - it is so...

Re: Enregistrement trés faible

Please either write in English or use the French Forum ( http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewforum.php?f=7 ) . As a couple of tips, try turning up the playback volume of the DVD and the input volume of stereo mix. Rip the DVD instead of wasting time recording it http://www.dvddecrypter.org.uk/ . === S...

Re: Audacity Keeps Altering My Pitch

Right, so I have been using Audacity 2.x to record on Windows 7 64 bit on an HP ENVY 15 for a while now just using the computers built in microphones. This was just to record simple ideas of songs. Recently I have acquired and Alesis iO2 recording interface which lets me plug a microphone and guita...

Re: 'static'-like noise generated in audacity

Try recording in other apps to see if they have the same issue. If they do, is there any other device you can connect to the line-in to see if the problem is the preamp? If the problem is the line-in, has it always been like this? Have you obtained ALSA supported drivers for this sound card? Also up...

You can buy a USB interface to give you a line-in. Here are some recommended interfaces http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Recom ... Interfaces .

Re: cannot start after changed temp files directory[SOLVED]

open ~/.audacity-data/audacity.cfg and change TempDir it fixed my problem. I had real directory it that line, which is not on system disk but on mounted ntfs partition - I guess Audacity doesn't handle that, right? Ubuntu can write to mounted NTFS volumes on the same machine so I don't see what the...

Re: cant's tart after chanbed temp files dirrectory

I changed temp directory and now can't start audacity even after complete unintall and install again.nothing happens after OK, except core dump It's a bug that Audacity crashes if it cannot find a place to write the temp directory. Make sure you are opening Audacity from Applications > Sound and Vi...
