Re: Sony MD Walkman MZ-N708 transfer to iMac

If you don't want to buy another recording device you can also record from headphones out of the player to audio-in of the Mac, but you will lose a little of the quality because of the conversion to analogue and back to digital that Koz and Peter mentioned. Do you have a Windows PC? Later versions o...

Re: Distorted recording of lecture.

I don't think you can do anything with those recordings except find out the problem that caused you to record them like that.

If your computer only has a mic input, buy a USB sound card that has a line-in for $30 or so.

Re: Separated Track Bleedover

Check here first you are not making any obvious mistakes like recording from stereo mix or not using headphones http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/fa ... ml#overdub .

What is the make and model number of the mic and exactly how is it connected to the computer?

If you are stuck for a solution you could try Effect > Change Speed on the track that is the wrong speed.

Re: Audacity 2.02,ION ITT USB turntable and WIndows 7

Windows regards most USB recording devices as "microphones" if they are not a standalone sound card.

Also look under the base of the turntable, it may have a gain knob that will make the audio it sends to the computer quieter.

How does that cause a playback problem unless metalninja is actually recording or monitoring?

Re: Audio/Video Transcription Software

I didn't want to start a feature request. You said This asks for further features Certainly no account will be taken of your views if you left your post where it was because there is no mechanism to do so. Feature Requests are for VI users too. So you want a transcription "plug-in" or int...

Re: Delay/flange effect on playback of multiple files

Does it happen only when playing before render, or does it also happen when playing after render? Are the tracks all different or are some duplicates? Are all the tracks the same rate as the project rate bottom left? Look where it says stereo or mono to left of the waveforms. Does the problem improv...

Re: Audacity REC

What exactly are you recording - guitar, vocals? Are you using Click Track http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/generate_menu.html#Click_Track.... ? Is the problem that your recording sounds after the beat of the Click Track? If so, have you used Time Shift Tool (F5) to correct it? See http://manual...
