Sorry but I cannot fix your headphones or make them compatible with Mac. The Apple forums might have some further ideas of things you can try. They may suggest resetting the SMC.

Re: DS2 and WAV FILES
Fortunately the free version of Switch does support conversion from DSS and unencrypted DS2 (on Windows) so there is always that fallback.

Re: Bug with the effects
Also it is usually best to use the current Audacity release. The current release is 2.1.2 which you can obtain from http://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows.

Re: All of a sudden not recording
Assuming you are already choosing the UCA recording device in Audacity's Device Toolbar, try Windows Start, hold SHIFT and click "Shut Down". This will cold boot the computer and give you a new kernel session. USB recording devices may need this from time to time.

Re: recording stops after a few second
What is the Line 0 input, for example a computer microphone with a TRS connector? Does it do the same with other recording applications? Have you tried choosing the (hw) entry for this recording device in Audacity's Device Toolbar ? This will bypass the slow Pulseaudio mixing layer. Note that you ca...

Re: DS2 and WAV FILES
Saving an audio file for your computer is called "exporting" in Audacity. The Export command is in the File menu. Audacity does not import or export DSS or DS2, but it can import WAV. Try Switch to convert DSS or DS2 to WAV: http://www.nch.com.au/switch/index.html . Switch cannot convert b...

Re: Creating and Selecting Labels
This is our site: http://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows. 2.1.2 is the current and recommended version.
Did you label the tone successfully? No-one else has this problem, as far as I know. But in 2.1.2, you won't be able to label a selection while dragging it with the mouse.

Re: Won't Record Again!
Yes, I'm using Audacity 2.x! You can use Help > About Audacity... to check the exact three-digit version number of Audacity. I couldn't get to Windows Sound from the control panel for some reason. The quickest way to it is from the speaker icon in the system tray, by the clock. See Windows Sound . ...
