Re: Audacity 2.0.3

The other thing is when I finish a track and go export as MP3 that choice isn't there anymore. Click File > Export then in "Save as type", choose "MP3 Files". See here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/file_export_dialog.html . If Audacity then says it needs LAME, install LA...

Re: Compile Error Ubuntu 12.04

I am attempting to compile from the source code audacity 2.0.3. I have wx-Widget version 2.8.12 which according to some is the correct version for this and according to others wont work. wx2.8.12 is the recommended version for Audacity 2.0.3. But unless you use 2.8.13 you may get issues with "...

Re: distortion on Audacity>MP3

Below the divider there is a list of Apple AU Bandpass,AU Delay, etc. down thru Garritan Ambience. Is that list what you are referring to with the term "GVerb?" Again, I do not see the word GVerb in that list. I cannot speak for 1.3.12 as that is obsolete and unsupported, but unfortunatel...

Re: Recording to FLAC?

I use Linux Mint and recorded in flac I have not seen this option to be available. Does anyone know if you can add this option? Thank you! You cannot "record to FLAC" (Audacity records in PCM). You can export to FLAC, by manually selecting it as the export format. Are you suggesting a new...

Re: MP3 versus .mp3

And don't add dots in the file name of the exported MP3 unless you add ".mp3" (without quotes) to the end of the name. See here http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/fa ... extensions .

Re: Separating tracks on the fly

The main purpose of my mod is not the play mode, but the record mode, in which you need the possibility to define up to 10 or more splitpoints during ONE uninterrupted fly. I wasn't able to realize that satisfactory with CTRL+M etc, but that could be my fault. I don't think the problem is that seve...
