Re: Compile Error Ubuntu 12.04
Here is some of the output from the start of the errors......... ..... lots more error just like this... No-one else has this problem. What configure command did you use and did the ./configure output look right? To me these look like the kind of errors you get from not installing the dev package o...

Re: Compile Error Ubuntu 12.04
why do I need the sudo make distclean if I am just going to blow away the source tree anyway....? I too would guess you don't need it, but I had a problem once that I could not resolve until I did that before deleting the tree. Maybe it gets rid of some symlink that lives outside the source tree, b...

Re: Using the keybard to select audio
It can't be changed unless you want to change and recompile the Audacity code. If you hold SHIFT, use RIGHT arrow to extend the selection rightwards, go too far then wish to contract from the right, you have to keep holding SHIFT, hold CTRL then use the opposite arrow (LEFT in this case). I think SH...

Re: Window not appearing in full on screen.
Thanks! Does that mean the reset of toolbars or reset of preferences solved the problem? It helps other users looking for a solution to know exactly how you solved it. If you know of anything you did that created the problem (such as a window resize after moving toolbars) that would be useful to kn...

To repeat: Have you used TeamViewer before? Are you able to navigate the QuickSupport module and find your ID and password? A straight "yes" or "no", please. Generally, please help us by saying exactly what you have done (with names of the controls or dialogues) when suggestions ...

Re: Cannot import music
Whatever instructions you are looking at are for an old version of Audacity. Here is the latest version of Audacity: http://audacityteam.org/download/mac . If you get the DMG version there is a Manual built in at Help > Manual (in web browser). Or you can view the Manual online http://manual.audacit...

Re: Question about controlling input volume through Windows
As long as my source (a cassette deck I have yet to take possession of) doesn't go into clipping territory when the Input Volume is at zero, I should be in good shape, right? A few non-continuous clipped samples are usually not audible. If one song or section does record clipped then there is alway...

Re: Help Across all 2x versions, May be Sound Related
I've tried everything on this topic Have you explicitly followed the suggestions I have made, yes or no? I figured, if those who much better qualified than I know what to do, they could remotely access my computer and fix it themselves. If you followed what I suggested you are as well qualified as ...
