Re: Can't Open File
Could it be possible that there is something wrong with the data? Perhaps, if a project save did not work correctly, but there is no way we can verify that without seeing the _data folder as well as the AUP. I guess the _data folder is about 450 MB in size, is that correct? If you want to, you coul...

Re: all my sound crashes when I export a wav file
If this is a USB turntable and you mean that you lose sound in Windows when using the turntable, this is expected. At its simplest, just unplug the turntable. See here http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/fa ... k.html#usb .

Re: Exporting OGG with high Project Rates
Thanks for the report. I'll raise a bug report that Audacity crashes, however the specification for OGG is up to 192000 Hz - see http://xiph.org/vorbis/doc/Vorbis_I_spec.html . The official oggenc.exe encoder in vorbis tools behaves in exactly the same way, encoding at up to 200000 Hz but failing at...

Re: Anyone familiar with DJ IO Software
Please note this isn't a support forum for Numark products. When I plug in the DJ IO it takes over from the pc soundcard and the speakers are muted. This is expected. See here http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_playback.html#usb This page may be useful to you for further enquiries about DJ-IO:...

Re: Audio "blips"
If you are on Windows you don't want the 1.2.5 Koz suggested. The Windows 1.2.5 froze up after a few minutes of use and was replaced almost immediately by 1.2.6.

Re: Real time filtering for tinnitus
is there a way to filter in real-time my existing music? Not in Audacity. Have you looked at software Equalizers for the sound card? Headphones Headphones are usually used I thought for masking or brain cell retraining, not for listening to music with tinnitus http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/arti...

Re: Behringer UFO202 vs ART USB Phono Plus
Audacity as shipped doesn't support ASIO, so the Behringer only works in Audacity without ASIO.
ART Phono Plus only has a headphones out, not RCA outs, I think. V2 has RCA outs.

Re: Audicity Won't Launch
I have tried to run AVG in Safe Mode (it runs in a sort of command mode, with less modules loaded I think) and then launch Audacity, which actually worked. If this descards an antivirus interference completely If you mean that was Windows Safe Mode, It's hard to draw an inference. It could be that ...

Re: Opening an au.file
I have recorded a file, saved it to Audacity and now wish to re-open it for editing. However, I am told that "the file is already open in another window". What does this mean, please, and how do I locate this "other window"? It means what it says - you are trying to open a proje...
