Re: playing imported file from CD

If you have an audio CD you can also click on the CD in Finder where each CD track will be mounted as an AIFF file, then drag the AIFF file into Audacity. This assumes your Mac has a CD drive. The only thing I can find out about TRM extension is that these files are made by "ForTheRecord" ...

Re: 2.0.1 freezing

Is the problem with that particular FLAC file? Is that FLAC file in a saved project (AUP)? Generate a tone and export as FLAC. Import the FLAC file. Make the same edits as with the FLAC file that freezes. Does that freeze? If the problem with the particular project or FLAC file persists, you could t...

Re: auvisio USB preamplifier is not recognized

See "Detecting USB and Firewire devices" here http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/fa ... l#flatline .

Post the contents of Help > Audio Device Info... if you are still stuck, but test if other programs can see and record from this device first.

Re: How do I uncompress a compressed saved aup file?

I just saved a compressed VO as an aup file and would like to UNDO the compression to get it back to the raw file. I went to the undo link but it won't let me. See here http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/file_menu.html#save_compressed . If you mean that you did File > Save Compressed Copy of Proj...

Re: Audacity crashed!

Exporting a WAV file at different stages in the project is also an excellent (and even safer) backup. Did you get the Audacity "Automatic Crash Recovery" dialogue ( http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/recovery.html ) when you restarted Audacity? If so, assuming you have not saved the inco...

Re: BUG? v2.0.3 Could not save project

Thanks. Before you found the problem, were you watching the directories you are saving to in Explorer or some command-line tool? There isn't any real answer to this at the moment, the problem being that the bug is not reproducible. You've identified a workaround of creating folders manually, and ano...

Re: BUG? v2.0.3 Could not save project

I think there's a chance there are bugs, evidenced both by "unable to save project" and "unable to save "autosave" file" (Audacity's temporary project file from which it recovers unsaved data). Can the user export a WAV to that DocumentsPodcast folder while project savi...

Re: Are hotmail registrations banned??

There is no hotmail blocking and there are no known issues.

If you can give exact times (UTC) when you registered and asked for resend of the activation e-mail, possibly Buanzo could check the server logs.
