Re: unable to open target file for writing
Your warning message isn't "unable to transport audio" so I started a new thread to avoid confusion. Are you using Export Multiple? Or are you saving an AUP Audacity project? When using Export Multiple on Mac, forward slashes (/) cannot be used. To force use of /, export each region with F...

Re: retrieve data from mini disc / probl enreg depuis mini d
The international standard is green for audio out, blue for line-in, pink for microphone in. So you may be connecting to the wrong computer jack.brownie wrote:the mini disc is connected to the correct line entry ( the green plug )

Re: Metadata doesn't show in WAV files
I filled in all the metadata in the editor before exporting. But when I look in the details of the file under properties, nothing shows. See here http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/WAV#Metadata where the limitations of WAV metadata are documented. For metadata in lossless files, try FLAC or AIFF, bu...

Re: Multiple music folder batch processing
Please help. I can not find any information as to batch processing multiple music folders for batching editing. Audacity doesn't do that. You have to select files in one folder for batch processing and the feature is called "Chains". See here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/edit_cha...

Re: Recording via Line In gets clipped at low level
Just to remove one possibility, what happens if you set Audacity to record in stereo?
By the way 1.3.14 is obsolete. You can get 2.0.3 here

Re: Saving 24 bit Wav files?
I can't tell any difference soundwise and file properties of the 2 files are identical (24 bit, 2304 kbps, 48 kHz, PCM). I can't reproduce any such thing using the Windows FLAC installer from http://flac.sourceforge.net/download.html . a 20 minute file directly to wav is 476 mb That's a 32-bit 4800...

Amiga low pass filter
The following plug-in has been submitted to me off-list for inclusion on http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Nyquist_Effect_Plug-ins , but I think all new plug-ins must be submitted here first. I will make a note to that effect on the Wiki page. I have the user's e-mail address if needed but have aske...

Re: Can't Open File
The attached should open. The problem was both the h (horizontal) position and the zoom position. Your h position was "146564541590346670000000000000000000000000.0000000000" which doesn't allow any tracks or Timeline, though View > Fit in Window would solve that. What was stopping the proj...
