Re: Audacity complains about orphaned files
If you are still suggesting that the correct AU files (listed in the AUP file) are correctly sited in the _data folder that projname in the AUP file points to, yet Audacity doesn't display the data correctly (and yet doesn't report the files as missing either), please upload the entire project (AUP ...

Re: Input Streaming WMA?
"If you want to record a stream, play it in VLC then record it from stereo mix or similar" The test audio record was recorded with VLC. Yes I saw VLC-record in the track name. So assuming you know how to save a stream to a file in VLC, can you do without stereo mix recording in Audacity, ...

Re: FFmpeg library error
I maintain the port on FreeBSD. The port of FFmpeg, Audacity or both? I compiled ffmpeg from the port and it gives that error. It finds the libraries but can't load them because of Error: Failed to load symbol av_init_packet Did you compile Audacity or are you using the Audacity package? "Fail...

Re: Export Multiple – normalize each track on export
Does this need transferring to Wiki>PFR - or is someone going to write a proposal - or is it dead? I am the only one in this topic interested in Export Multiple in Chains, so forget that. Transfer the normalize on export multiple to PFR. But my vote is to have an export preference for normalize, co...

Re: Severe playback distortion defies all fixes?
Double-checked all drivers. Updated SoundMAX. Tried setting Windows control panel to use SoundMAX for everything, and set Audacity to use it as well, still no sound. Reset everything to the Delta. Same distortion. Do you have XP Media Center Edition? M-Audio devices do not support this: http://www....

Re: Audacity complains about orphaned files
it was renamed to 007... 008 does not exist Perhaps you want to open the content that was at one time in 008? By your assessment, the AUP file is opening the correct directory, as I had renamed it. All I can see is the AUP file you submitted, which points to the 007 folder. when I do a directory tr...

Re: Input Streaming WMA?
If you have downloaded Audacity Portable from http://portableapps.com/apps/music_video/audacity_portable you need to ask on http://portableapps.com/support/audacity_portable . Audacity Portable is nothing to do with Audacity and we will not on principle answer questions for that project. If you wish...

Re: compilation of audacity-2.0.3 failed
"configure --disable-ffmpeg" I cannot get to 64-bit Linux at the moment, but try ./configure --without-ffmpeg or ./configure --with-ffmpeg=no Enable/disable is usually reservered for features (like unicode or debug) and with/without for libraries. Read ./configure --help for more. Gale

Re: Behringer UFO202 vs ART USB Phono Plus
As I understand it, the Line Out on the Art Phono Plus is tied to the preamp input, so you can only listen to music from the PC on the headphones jack:
