Also don't connect using USB hubs as you said you were doing when you e-mailed.
Have you tried the procedure "Detecting USB and Firewire devices" here ?

Re: Phasing/Flanging Issue with 2.0.3 on Vista
Audacity just records the signal you give it. Have you tried this http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_recording_troubleshooting.html#enhancements ? If that does not help, please export a few seconds of WAV audio that demonstrates the bad recording (see http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.ph...

Re: screech or whine or squeal thing
Try changing the USB cable or disconnecting any other USB devices that use a lot of bandwidth (like a USB modem). Please read this http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/USB_t ... hite_Noise .

Re: Converting one MP3 file to 20 individual MP3 files.
Thanks very much for your help. I'm glad MP3splt has a Graphical User Interface available. I'd never try to use a command line interface for any program! I'm going to download the program today and see if I can end up with my 20 tunes each as a separate tune and given a separate title by me. If I h...

Re: Importing text as audio/exporting audio as text
It would be nice if data could directly be sent to the clipboard from within Nyquist, i.e. an output direction that writes "files" to the clipboard instead of a file pointer allocation on the hard drive (Feature Request?) Do you want to request that in a new post in Nyquist wish list http...

Re: Audacity 2.0.3
Please try all the suggestions at "To fix speed drift, pitch and quality problems" here . Also make sure the Scarlett is connected to a spare USB port of the computer and not to a USB hub. If the problems persist please upload a few seconds of WAV file that has the wobbly sound so we can h...

Re: Importing text as audio/exporting audio as text
Since Excel gives me the ability to generate, manipulate and export data, I should be able to come up with a conversion which is acceptible to the Raw Data import function. Jim, Audacity's Raw Data Import wants a binary file representing the sample values in 0's and 1's. If Audacity had a way (like...

Re: Submit your EQ Curves
Does anybody out there have any EQ curve presets that work well as starting point for live rock concert recordings? This is all personal taste. Try some presets in the FEQ file, look in your operating system control panel to see if your sound card has an Equalizer with a rock preset that you can co...

Re: Help when stopping the recording.
Okay I finally fixed it. I uninstalled it, downloaded another 2.0.3 installer and checked "reset preferences" Thank you audacity! Can't wait for the next Update! Well done, that was the correct fix. I think Audacity was trying to write to a temporary directory it could not write to. Reset...
