Personally I always copy the patched files one by one to the correct place, but I "think" dragging the four folders you mentioned into "C:\wxWidgets-3.0.2\" would work too. I suspect the instructions may be wrong or unclear.

Re: Newby Hint on Flute & Orchestra
I did that. If you go back and check the effects list, it still shows up as "new". If you close and re-open Audacity and/or reboot the computer, it still comes back as "new". Then I made it worse. I tried choosing "disabled/OK" Then I tried going to the list and clicki...

Re: Audacity failing to use location in audacity.cfg on open
2.1.2 will return to default size and position if you close it with the screen slightly off the monitor, including partly on one monitor and partly on another. It was done to fix a problem where closing off screen would reopen with an unusably small size. A fix has been made in our development code ...

Re: Newby Hint on Flute & Orchestra
I discovered I had wrongly used VST 2 64 bit version. I uninstalled it and Audacity. I reinstalled Audacity 2.12 and Voxengo Marvel GEQ 1.3 VST 2 32 bit. It still did not work. Marvel GEQ shows up in my effect list as new. If I click enable, it still reads as new. Even after reboot of Audacity and ...

Re: Audacity 2.1.0 records 1/2 speed?
Hold the Windows key and press X, then Shut Down. Wait a minute or so before powering on. This is the equivalent of a cold boot which will give you a new kernel session. If that does not change anything, it is presumably a mismatched sample rate somewhere. I assume you mean the Audacity Project Rate...

Re: Audacity does not play the whole wav sound on Fedora
It's "normal" with Audacity on Linux, unless you use the low latency JACK API, which is fiddly to set up.
You can just type K to go to the end of the track, and generate a little silence.

I was referred to your website for assistance. This Forum is about Audacity. It is not a forum for Microsoft products. You could see if there is anything here https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-windows_programs/remove-sound-in-movie-maker-and-replace-sound-with/74a0f74e...

Re: Audacity 2.1.0 records 1/2 speed?
The current version of Audacity is 2.1.2. You can get it from us at http://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows . We would need to know exactly what you are recording, using what recording equipment (makes and model numbers always help) and how that equipment connects to the computer. Something lik...

Re: Editing MOGG
i'm still curious about the "index". If Audacity can read/detect it, then Audacity has an ability add an index to a track/tune. All that dialogue does is to tell Audacity which of the streams in the MOGG file to import. Audacity does not do anything with the index information itself, beca...
