Re: Cannot get Lame Encoder to work

Probably Apple are locking the folder. I would suggest downloading the zip of LAME instead, following these instructions . Try putting the extracted libmp3lame.dylib in the folder you installed Audacity into and restarting Audacity. You should be able to export MP3 straight away, but if not, do the ...

Re: No audio on Windows 7 laptop

In Audacity, Generate > Tone > OK . Turn the Audacity output slider up in Mixer Toolbar (the right-hand slider here): http://manual.audacityteam.org/m/images/2/2b/MixerToolbarWithoutInputSelect.png Play the tone. Re: Labels wish-list

Hi Steve I'm probably still going to come over as less than enthusiastic, but I still think this is another menu item for a "pro tem", fairly undiscoverable workaround that doesn't help in all that many cases. It isn't the thorough-going and discoverable solution that we actually need. If ...

Re: Registry Error

Well the bad news is that with the modified .cfg I can't export as well. The GOOD news is that when I put the original .cfg back in (I DO back stuff up) I still threw the error but now the export and everything appears to work. I still get the registry error but I'm convince it's a plug-in. There i...

Re: Latency Rate Changes Each Time I Record! Help!

As for the automatic latency correction, in theory that sounds great if it works . Would it still give you the option to set it manually? And if it did come into existence, would the feature recalibrate latency every time you record, or just once per session, or just once upon initial setup? I thin...

Re: Labels wish-list

2. A command that deletes all labels lying entirely within the selected region of label track(s). I have not tried the Ed/Steve patch yet, but we do have Edit > Remove Audio or Labels > Split Cut ( or Split Delete) for this purpose, so another menu item in there "Remove Selected Labels" t...

Re: Labels wish-list

Some other things I'd like are already in the Feature Requests like easier TAB navigation. So do you want to vote for When the label track has focus, TAB or SHIFT + TAB should always navigate to the nearest label (from the current cursor point in the direction specified) This would mean I think tha...
