Re: Equalization less capable under Mac OSX?
Incidentally, the curve I created under Windows and imported to my MacBook was created in Audacity 2.0.2, whereas the version of Audacity on my MacBook is 2.0.3. Perhaps this means that the problem with "Draw Curves" in version 2.0.3 could routinely be worked around by keeping version 2.0...

Re: Does normalizing require upconverting to preserve qualit
if any 16 bit .wav file is automatically converted to 32 bit on import, and then back to 16 on export, will the end file be identical to the original, if no edits were made? I am just terribly paranoid about preserving original sound of all my files. If you want the exported file to be the same as ...

Re: Cannot get Aud 2.0.3 installed on OS 10.6.8
Drag the "Audacity" folder from the DMG into your /Applications folder. Do not drag the DMG into your /Applications folder. Alternatively download the ZIP instead: http://audacity.googlecode.com/files/audacity-macosx-ub-2.0.3.zip . The ZIP does not include the Manual. You can view the Manu...

Re: Labels wish-list
Most text and word processors don't allow SHIFT + DELETE to do anything. Wouldn't it be more useful to have SHIFT + DELETE delete the label if open for editing? It seems to be a developer decision to make "Delete+modifier" act the same as "Delete", but I don't know why and I don...

Re: Integration with Ableton Live
please add the feature request to have a preference to "export to the directory the file came from", so that you can easily overwrite the file being edited, then it should theoretically have seemless integration within Ableton Live and any other DAW that links to an external audio editor....

Deixe a pasta sozinho e abrir o projeto salvo AUP usando "Ficheiro > Fiecheiros récentes". Para exportar como MP3 veja aqui: http://tinyurl.com/bmjwpfj Por favor note, ninguém aqui fala Portuguese. Você tem que perguntar em Inglês, ou você tem que perguntar aqui: http://www.orkut.com/Main#...

Re: Does normalizing require upconverting to preserve qualit
Who said you should upsample before amplifying? Resampling sample rates (leaving pitch and tempo unchanged) up and then back down (assuming you want to export at the original rate) is lossy in absolute terms. Why would you want to do that? By the way some players may not play files at 378000 Hz (it'...

Re: I've got you under my ski
And if i create an adress only for that ? Same answer - no e-mail support. ;) If you keep exactly the same number and size of images as before, then there is no need to compile Audacity. You can just download Audacity 1.3.8 , save the images from Edit > Theme Preferences, then edit the images. This...

Re: I've got you under my ski
As much as Audacity looks a bit "plain" in terms of graphics, the way I see it, Audacity doesn't waste valuable processing power loading up high res layouts and I would worry about having a theme option to add to Audacity's bloating. It just means Audacity loads different images from the ...
