Re: help getting rid of buzzing on audio
Again, I'm sorry for the delayed response and again thank you for the help/reply. Re: silence cleaner crash: I tired with a second, different (long) file and again it crashes every time. Maybe the problem comes from files that are very long in duration? It doesn't crash if I select only a couple of...

Re: help getting rid of buzzing on audio
Can't you just isolate the frequencies of the buzzing, and remove them? You will of course degrade the quality of the audio to some extent, I mean the audio you want to keep. But it might make things clearer What I regard as the "buzzing" distortion (that occurs when the signal occurs and...

Re: Recording Problem Analog Signal Goes Flat
There is no point choosing stereo mix and different inputs. The only input to select is the one you are connected to. Have you also looked in Conexant's own control panel and turned effects off there? Is the colour of this microphone input pink or blue? Is it really meant for connecting a HiFi stere...

Re: 1 channel USB PnP Sound Device Not 2 channel Audio CODEC
It's nothing to do with Audacity if you only get a mono choice in Windows, but I suggest you double check that. Right-click over the speaker icon by the system clock, then choose "Recording Devices". If there are multiple USB devices connected, disconnect them all except Pyle. Right-click ...

Re: I have no idea how to start...
I mentioned youtube because it's a similar thing to the one I want to do. I want to record an album that's not on youtube yet, so I can't download it using conventional youtube converters. Specificaly, this is what I want to record: http://www.stonesour.com/albumstream OK so we are back to you want...

Re: Metadata
There is a P3 bug open to sort all this mess out including passing metadata through to each track without showing a metadata window for each track (and without having to find the Editor in File Menu to enter the data before export and then find the Preference to stop the editor displaying on export)...

Re: Default Silence Setting
Are you generating more than 60 seconds of silence?
If not you can still generate in whole seconds with the default format - if you want 11 seconds just type 11 and ignore the other digits.

Re: Strange problem with mult-track recording
What happens if you solo the track that is too quiet?
Where is it showing at -3 dB - in the green playback meters?

Re: possibly experiencing "2.0.3 known issues" random pgm fr
So does rebooting the computer make any difference? If it does not prove to be bad memory behaviour on your machine when it's asked to do some serious number-crunching, it may be useful at some stage to launch Audacity from the terminal (or better from within the gdb debugger) and see what messages ...

Re: Possible bug with importing large raw audio files?
I think it would be better if Audacity didn't try to guess the RAW parameters (it always gets it wrong in my experience), but either presented the last-used or exact same default parameters each time (so that changing them is manual but easily repeated as it's the same procedure each time). The imp...
