Re: AIFF files will not play on iPod, will on iTunes
Open the AIFF in QuickTime and Command-I invoke the INFO panel. What does that say? In all cases the Quicktime format was : Linear PCM, 16 bit big-endian signed integer, 2 channels, 44100 Hz. That includes conversions in WavePad and iTunes. If the iPod is on battery when unplugged from the computer...

Re: Trouble installing audacity
Windows does not always find the DLL files needed to start Audacity although we put them in the Audacity installation folder. Windows may look in system folders for these files instead, but on a newly installed Windows, the system versions of those files may not be there. You can solve the problem b...

Re: Constant ticking throughout my recordings
Audacity's Click Removal would do a good job if it only had the background noise and the clicks to deal with, but it barely touches the clicks when the voice is there as well.

Re: MP3 exports as "File"
Really didn't want to open another forum Topic split. Please always do start a new topic for a new subject. It's much more helpful for other users who may be looking for an answer to have a new topic with a relevant subject. I have the lame encoder installed on Audacity, but When I export the file,...

Re: Regular Interval labels ignores , as decimal separator
With a comma separated locale, a dot should still be allowed as the decimal separator. I did not think it worked like that on Windows. With German input language, typing "13.4" (without quotes) in Excel writes "13 April". To make it "go wrong", use a fractional part th...

Re: Audacity kills Sound after Start. (SB Audigy 2 Platinum)
I've tried near every suggestion in this forum. - Without success. Have you tried the Windows version of Audacity under WINE? The soundcard also was running under ubuntu 10.X with audacity 1.*** (i can't remember, what i had installed) I used exactly this soundcard for about 5 years on audacity and...

Re: view list of tracks created?
What I was trying to say is that as I am exporting the multiple tracks, I want to type the correct label for each track as the dialogue box pops up for track 1, track 2, etc. I didn't note the labels as I created them If you know the names of the song tracks, I recommend typing the name in the labe...

Re: Importing timestamp information with Python
I was hoping that someone from the audacity developer community would pick up my program and integrate it into audacity. You would need to attract the developer's attention by subscribing and posting to audacity-devel mailing list . But the script has to work first, ideally with dual versions for P...

Re: Read, Add, Edit and Write Loop and Cue markers to Wav
I've been in contact with the author of libsndfile (Erik de Castro Lopo) and he said that the cue feature will stand a very good chance of being included in a new libsndfile release! Actually, it's likely that not only wavs will have cue support but also aiff files and their number can easily be in...

Re: Audacity 2.0.3
I tried your last suggestion first about Audacity/Properties/Compatibilty. The original setting was XP Service Pack 3. So I set it to Windows 7, then clicked OK, thinking that might solve the problem, but it still wouldn't open. I then tried Vista SP2, Vista SP1, and Vista. None of them worked. It ...
