Re: Audacity has stopped working
About half of the time I record my podcast, I get a message afterward saying "Audacity has stopped working" and it says I can manually recover my recordings. Then you are not using the current Audacity 2.0.3. You are most likely using 1.2 on Windows Vista or 7 where we explicitly say that...

Re: Audacity could be more helpful when paused ...
Let's remember the reason for starting this thread - it wasn't about the ability to do "stuff" while paused (how many folk actually want/need to do that?) At least 30 and counting, without interpreting too liberally. It's a common request on [email protected]. So this discussion is about giving t...

Re: Audacity crashes every time on startup
Sorry you have a problem, but this is documented in many messages on this Mac board and in the Release Notes . If you need step-by-step help please see http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/User:BillWharrie/Resetting_Preferences_on_Mac . If problems persist after disabling plug-ins, please attach a Mac ...

Re: Can I program a start/stop times for Audacity?
It is really easy to add this feature to Audacity. It is also quite easy to control Audacity with something like AutoIt3* (a free Windows-based scripting app). This method requires you to write a script which starts recording and one which stops recording (again, a trivial task with AutoIt3 or most...

Please note we cannot give support for Microsoft products. Please see if either of the attached files is accepted by "Auto Attendant". These files are as you request, except the WAVEX one has a different header. If there is still a problem, seek help elsewhere such as here: http://technet....

Re: Audacity could be more helpful when paused ...
Clearly people who pause and select some audio they had just heard with the intention of deleting it or applying an effect to it are not intending to play from the cursor or start of the selection, but from the paused playback position. I doubt that that is a safe assumption. When users write to th...

Re: beep on completion of batch processing
Does beep work on your machine Setting BeepFileName in audacity.cfg does not help either. "Hardware beep" works on my machine but the "beep" that Audacity uses has nothing to do with that it is a wxWidgets function that just plays a sound; in the Audacity default the sound is ma...

Re: USB Recording input volume set low to get to-6 dB
Any other suggestions? Is the USB TT your only turntable? Do you have an older hi-fi analog turntable available? If so then considerer junking the USB TT and buying something like the ART USB Phono Plus - see: http://artproaudio.com/discontinued_products/discontinued_products/product/usb_phono_plus...

Re: USB Recording input volume set low to get to-6 dB
While there is no harm looking, I think it's very rare that a USB converter would have a boost switch (even though Windows sees it as a "microphone"). At least, I've never heard of it.DVDdoug wrote:Also, make sure Microphone Boost is disabled.
