Re: Sound Quality Question
Is there a way to play my tapes through the computer without actually recording them on to the computer? Click in the recording meter to turn on monitoring then Transport > Software Playthrough. If you prefer not to run Audacity to listen to the recording, right-click over the speaker icon by the s...

Re: My 1.2.4 version files won't open in newer Audacity vers
Every single old version of Audacity is on SourceForge http://sourceforge.net/projects/audacity/files/ . I've already explained to Caryne on [email protected] how to export a WAV file from 1.2.4 then import it into 2.0.3, and this has apparently solved the problem. Note that as per the Release Notes Audacit...

We don't need the _data folder. We are not downloading GB's of data at our own personal bandwidth expense.
Thanks for the AUP and the file list.

Re: Effects menu extends below screen bottom
I'll leave it up to you as to whether you want to build something and have me test it. There is the Audacity build made with Widgets 2.9.3 that I already posted . It would be nice to know if that makes any difference. Otherwise it will be up to Ed it he wants to make a build with latest widgets lat...

we would be happy to send the files on a usb drive to let someone access our computers remotely. Can you point me in the direction of someone who can help? We can send them a signed DVD of our TV show and have them as a guest on our podcast or anything they'd like... The only people who could help ...

Re: Improving "Clip Fix"
OK, I'm with you now :) Provided that your method is followed rigorously it works pretty well and certainly better than ClipFix. That depends what you are looking for - a simple-minded repair (smoothing) of the current waveform with a given that only damage is selected; or something that is more fo...
