If you have, that may be the problem:
The audio interface comes with premium ASIO drivers

Audacity as shipped will not see ASIO drivers and may error if those are the only drivers being offered.

Re: Editing music - End and Begining

I did read those instructions and they do *not* explain how to toggle the Zoom on/off. Pressing F4 once turns Zoom Tool on, but never turns it off. If Zoom Tool is already on, F4 has no effect. You asked: If I activate the Selection tool to Zoom by clicking F1 do I then de-activate the zoom by simp...

Thanks for replying that the problem was solved. I've marked it [SOLVED] and locked the topic.

Re: Error: not well-formed (invalid token) at line 5199

Now I know that when you save a audacity project it is a AUP file but I didn't save this recording at all. So where would the AUP file be? Would it be the file found in the "AutoSave" folder? If so I'll attach it. Ah OK, sorry I wasn't paying full attention there. No, there is no AUP file...

Re: Error: not well-formed (invalid token) at line 5199

Okay I'm new to this kind of stuff so please have patients with me here. So I was recording something when mid-recording my computer turned off. Usually I could just do the "Recover Projects" thing but it didn't work this time. It just says "Error: not well-formed (invalid token) at ...

Re: Question about the Mix & Render function

It was a clickable option in that video I posted but it hasn't been one since. I can see no reason why Make Stereo Track would be greyed it you have a left channel track above a right channel track and you choose Make Stereo Track on the left (upper track). I'm trying to be able to record some phon...

Re: loss of recording quality after a few seconds

The mic port is black, but I have been plugging (almost) directly into it via an RCA/3.5mm adapter. In that case (it's your only input) it probably guesses mono or stereo line level based on the rings on the jack. Those "dual" inputs usually do not give good quality. Whatever your current...

Re: PLEASE HELP - Open aud project, orphan all files opens b

Excellent. Now over five chapters we have all the definitions, conditions and steps to code a terrific rescue tool. Everybody wins! Well, I'm not sure how many users would follow all this without step-by-step documentation, or whether developers would be rushing to make some script available that w...

Re: Can't import mp4 files

I think FFmpeg could be conflicting with another version of its constituent libraries somewhere else on your computer. Do you have any other programs that use FFmpeg? Where exactly do you have the FFmpeg you are pointing Audacity to installed? Can you restart Audacity and post a new log from that? Y...
