Re: Export Multiple 5.1 channel

I would guess Export Multiple by labels is relatively easy conceptually to extend to multi-channel tracks (which may not mean it is easy to code from what is there now). The user would choose channel mapping after pressing "Export" in Export Multiple. The user can of course do it themselve...

Re: Editing music - End and Begining

Is there a way to edit out the beginning and ending dead air space when listening to the recording so that as soon as you hear music start at the beginning and the music stop at the end you can stop the recoding and edit exactly at that point? Pressing the stop button seems to throw this editing of...

Re: Editing music - End and Begining

The challenge with this task is that everyone has posted a different way of addressing this. There is only one solution - the one that has been repeated many times. Press F1 once. It would be most helpful if the developers could program the zoom so that you right click your mouse on the + magnifyin...

Re: My 3-Hour Sound File Has Disappeared Completly!

Audacity Crash on my Win 7 laptop after 3 hours and 59 tracks. It started up with a recovery file. I fixed the last track, saved the recovery file then went to save as a new filename for safety. Audacity Crashed again but this time, the only thing I had in my hard drive was an old .aud back up file...

Re: Can't record "what I Hear"?

If your settings are correct and you are playing the audio on the realtek output device, it should work. If the red recording cursor is not moving, reboot the computer. if the Yamaha is seen by Windows as an audio playback device and you are playing audio on that device, then Realtek Stereo Mix cann...

Re: retrievinv temporary files

My computer shut down before I could save a project. If this was not a loss of mains or battery power, I suggest you check if there is a problem with your computer drivers : http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_errors.html#reboot . Message says I schould retrieve temporary files by hand. Where ...

Re: Error while opening sound device. help

Yes i did install the djio driver and i have tried changing the bit rate. so Audacity cant use the interface because of the type of driver? Any idea what driver i can download and use? Did you also change the project rate bottom left to 44100 Hz or 48000 Hz? Otherwise, does the device still work if...

Re: How to have coding 'no encoding' in export MP3

For the past two weeks I and my team have struggled to pin down this issue There is no need to struggle with it. Just install lame_enc.dll on the machine that lacks it, then Audacity can export MP3. If it's doing it now apparently without LAME, either audacity.cfg is corrupted (in which case you re...

Re: Error: not well-formed (invalid token) at line 5199

I'd still like to know if that project showed you error message boxes when you opened the repaired autosave file I attached. So the autosave is gone along with the Project folder. Luckily I copied and saved the autosave along with the project. To be clear, do you mean you copied and saved the "...
