Re: A large portion of audio missing in a file

Thanks for letting us know. :)

But if it was seven hours, you may want to export as three files if you are exporting as WAV.

Re: echo removal

Seems like this could be a useful tip for the Wiki at least.

Is the increase in frequency smoothing / reduction in attack / decay part of the general recommendation, or specific to this voice?

Re: Focusrite Saphire 14. Can't select correct input

I don't know if that is always the case, but for example, if using ASIO4All, once it has been enabled in the audio application, the ASIO4All control panel becomes available through which you can configure which devices and in/outs you wish to use. OK, but that's like using an external channel mappe...

This isn't a Forum about gaming or smartphones.

Unless you are asking about Audacity or something to do with audio on Windows, Mac or Linux, please ask elsewhere.

Re: Karaoke, Rotation, Panning & more

On Mac, I tried the two Nyquist commands to play audio in the command prompt several times - but there is no playback at all. The file contains the correct audio if you do (play s). Normally, I would return the input sound. Unfortunately, that one is "killed" to free some memory. I only th...

Re: Wave image small, sound inaudible

SysPrefs: input=line-in, output=Soundflower 2ch, input volume at half, output volume at full In the system preferences input side, the Soundflower does not need to be selected, but its input volume must be on maximum. So select Soundflower 2ch and make sure the input volume slider is on maximum. Th...

Re: Focusrite Saphire 14. Can't select correct input

The real problem is that Windows sound card drivers do not support channel mapping. We're on Mac here, hence OP can record six consecutive channels rather than from one of three different stereo pairs as happens on Windows, but cannot choose the required channels from the six available. Does ASIO o...

Re: Audio dropping out

since Audacity keeps recording, I'm not certain it's a beachball event that causes the drop-outs and increasing distortion. I've read somewhere that Audacity can have trouble keeping up with the recording depending on what else is going on, but I've tried it without anything running and encountered...

Re: A large portion of audio missing in a file

If you exported it as WAV (Microsoft) signed 16-bit PCM, stereo and the project rate was 44100 Hz then 3 hours 20 minutes is about as long as you will get for 2 GB file size. You should not go over 2 GB unless you know your operating system and audio player can play WAV up to 4 GB. Have you tried Fi...

Re: Can't get Audacity to run.

This may happen with a freshly installed OS. You just need to read this FAQ:
http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/fa ... html#probs .
