Re: Output device setting error

Write down the Audacity project rate bottom left then quit Audacity, leave the headset connected and open /Applications/Utilities/Audio MIDI Setup. Make the headset default input and output, set the sample rate to the same as the project rate you wrote down, and set the channels to 1 ch if it's a mo...

Re: Stuttering or gaps in my recording

I just made some recordings of some online radio. Most of them recorded fine, but some of them included little gaps regularly throughout the track - less than a tenth of a second apart. If I manually (carefully) delete these gaps it sounds right (at least on the few seconds I tried). Problem is tha...

Re: Audacity and RP155

Try rebooting again and try a new USB cable.

Try turning off Transport > Overdub and/or setting the playback device to your built-in sound device, just to see if that helps it record.

Re: Can't record "what I Hear"?

Here's the audio information you requested, thank you for your help. I suggest you disconnect whatever device(s) Audacity is seeing as the five MIDI inputs. Audacity does not record MIDI. For input choose "Stereo Mix (Realtek High Defini" in Audacity Device Toolbar . You appear not to hav...

Re: Karaoke, Rotation, Panning & more

don't you think that the decision about downloading a plug-in should remain by the user? I find it rather questionable to dumb-filter plug-ins before they can be added to the WIKI. The more advanced user can download plug-ins "as is" here. Once the plug-ins are on Wiki they become much mo...

Re: 2.0.3 burned tracks all cut off/burned in different spee

The tracks are cut off all the way through the 80 min track Music CDs will not carry 80 minutes. It's some number lower and we usually say plan on 78. If this is the problem you can try http://www.deepburner.com/ - I have had success overburning with that where no other burning program would get it...

Re: HELP! what`s "Error 30: read only file system" ??

Make sure you have installed Audacity correctly. 1 Double-click the downloaded DMG to mount it 2 Then to install Audacity, copy the "Audacity" folder from the newly mounted DMG to /Applications or any other location of your choosing. Then run Audacity from /Applications, not from the DMG. ...

Re: audacity and komplete 8 ultimate

No, Audacity doesn't support VST instruments and real-time effects. However depending what you are doing you can run Komplete 8 standalone and possibly record its output into Audacity or run the VST plug-in in a free VST host like http://www.hermannseib.com/english/vsthost.htm and have Audacity reco...

Re: Textension crash

This is a different problem triggered by doing something (not necessarily in Audacity) to do with non-English characters. Were you trying to launch Audacity by opening a file? Did that file have non-English characters in its name, or does the folder the file is in have such characters? There is no e...

Re: Trouble in installing Gverb into Audacity on MAC. Please

The text you are quoting is on a page not written by us "how to install GVerb in Audacity". Is it GVerb or Freeverb you want? See here to get GVerb http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=207578#p207578 . The next 2.0.4 Audacity will have a new Reverb based on the original Freeverb. ...
