Re: Stopping the recording & continuing[SOLVED]

Is it possible to stop the recording to save it and then continue on the same track? If so, how? I am using the latest version of Audacity on Windows 7. I don't know why this was marked [SOLVED] with no answer :? The only way to do it is by pressing Stop, saving the project or exporting an audio fi...

Re: Why Preference Sampling Rate not talking to Project Rate

I strongly vote for a preference to be added to maintain the current project rate when importing files? Thanks, your vote will be added. As you said sampling Format 32/24/16 does not apply to MP3 files, I will appreciate your confirming that simplest way possible for us is to select 22050 from Proj...

Re: Why Preference Sampling Rate not talking to Project Rate

We always have input file Sampling rate 41100 Hz at 256 bitrate Assuming the input file is MP3, 41100 Hz is not a valid MP3 sample rate. I assume you meant 44100 Hz. after Audacity editing we always export MP3 with Sampling Rate 22050 Sampling Format 32 bit and Quality 64 kbps Do you need to destro...

Re: Audio is making a weird noise after I export it.

Hi! MPC Renaissance. Bounced WAV file. A cappella from http://www.acapellas4u.co.uk I exported from my MacBook Pro using Audacity 1.3.12-beta (Unicode) + OS 10.6.8 and all is perfect! :D (I tried with 2.0.2 and it also failed.) Thanks for testing. Was this 2.0.2 distorted export on the 10.6.8 machi...

Re: Mix and Render problems

But perhaps the mixing is done after the resampling? The conversion from 32 bit float to 16 bit occurs "while you wait" (using the High Quality settings, but still very quickly) as soon as you select 16 bit in the drop down menu. Probably my question wasn't clear. What I am getting at is ...

Re: static/distortion on export?

Attached is a screen shot of the problem I'm having.(File sounds fine in Audacity, then when I export it as .wav it has a bad buzz for the first 5 seconds. The photo shows the exported .wav opened in Audacity.) It started when I was using Ver. 2.0.2. I just updated to 2.0.3 and it's the same. I'm u...

Re: static/distortion on export?

Hi Stevan, I've dropboxed another file. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/70640948/ClockOnly_revA.mp3 This is an MP3 exported from the project I linked to you earlier with every track but the clock track deleted. The ONLY sound I should hear is "tick tick tick tick tick" and for the firs...
