Re: Help nothing is working

I record my voice by pushing on the red dot. Then I listen to it to make sure it is ok (by pushing on the green arrow). Then I click on "Save project as" and then i get a message that the message will be saved in .aup . I agree. I give it a name and choose where it is going to be saved......

Re: Audio Cache option missing in Preferences / Directories

We're keeping a tally of requests to reinstate the feature, so we'll record your request. The feature was buggy, but also it took no account of the fact that as a 32-bit application Audacity could not address more than 2 GB of RAM.

Re: Help nothing is working

I get a message that the program might be protected or disk is full. Disk is NOT full. Computer is new....

Re: Locating a sound sequence within a sound file

I have a set of lectures in mp3 format that include 2 or 3 actual lectures per file, and I'd like to split the files so each lecture is a separate mp3. Even if you find the splits you will lose quality by re-encoding the MP3 in Audacity. Just another point to bear in mind. See this page http://wiki...

Re: Labels wish-list

Peter and I would like to suggest another right-click menu item (solely over a point label) "Remove & Delete to Next Label". This aims to make it easier and more intuitive to execute this use case http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Removing_Labels#usecase2 of deleting exactly the regio...

Re: Fedora 19, 2.0.3 free, non-free Segfaults using Equaliza

Try building the latest 2.0.4 alpha development code http://audacityteam.org/community/developers#svn . I sometimes got segfaults using Save/Manage Curves in EQ on Ubuntu until we fixed a bug in EQ sometime after 2.0.3 release. If the current code has the same problem, please provide steps to reprod...

Re: dc bias

We had the "DC Removal" discussion a while back. The one in Audacity is remarkably well behaved and doesn't have beginning and end noise, or any other problems. It may create a new offset and thus a click if the offset is not constant over time or if some sections of audio are offset and ...
