Re: recover recording after force quit
Hi, i have the same problem. at the time of the recording i bounced it out to an audio file Audacity does not have a "bounce" feature. It has File > Export. Is that what you mean? and then thought it would have worked. i closed the laptop What exactly did you do before closing the laptop ...

Re: iPod classic aiff format metadata - recipe for problems?
More info more tests Amadeus read the aiff with metadata just fine Are you talking here about an AIFF exported by Audacity? save as aiff but then metadata is lost. Save as AIFF in what application? If you have a problem with Amadeus you'll need to contact them. Peak read the first split fine save a...

Re: iPod classic aiff format metadata - recipe for problems?
Who would want to play their iPod connected to their computer Do you even own an iPod? My iPod plays splendidly on battery YMMV. I do not own an iPod nor would I want one. I am advising you of the cases we have had before where iPod chokes on files with metadata if it's on battery. It's up to you w...

Re: clip replacement to auto move subsequent tracks clips..h
I have many tracks, (each stereo) with many clips, some tracks have many clips, some only one. If I replace a clip on one with a better clip, be it a longer or shorter clip, I need all the subsequent tracks clips to move in unison to keep their relationship to this clips end position . If I double ...

Re: iPod classic aiff format metadata - recipe for problems?
Audacity only has limited support for WAV metadata at the moment. Please see http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/WAV#Metadata . AIFF metadata should be exported correctly. Try exporting a WAV from Audacity, drag it into iTunes then convert it to AIFF and add metadata in iTunes. Does it play in iPod? I...

Re: Nothing working...tried everything.
Thanks for the report. Audacity is not compatible with Waves Audio Unit plug-ins, as noted in the Release Notes http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Release_Notes_2.0.3#Program_Launch . Here is a step-by-step to disable Audacity support for Audio Unit plug-ins in the audacity.cfg settings file: http://...

Re: Overdub Troubleshooting
Are you using the Focusrite driver from here http://uk.focusrite.com/usb-audio-interfaces/scarlett-8i6/downloads ? Also see http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Windows_7_OS#sample_rates . Assuming the bold text in your device list means that you are using Scarlett as input and output, tick both "...

Re: Hints for migration from version 1.3.12 to 2.0.3
Would you delete/trash the Audacity 1.3.12 app before you install the Audacity 2.0.3 app? I don't believe it makes any difference on Mac whether you trash 1.3.12's Audacity folder before adding 2.0.3's folder, or after. Just be sure to remove your personal files before trashing the 1.3.12 folder. G...

Re: Hints for migration from version 1.3.12 to 2.0.3
I have searched the FAQ, the Forum, and the manual and have not found any tips and / or concerns when updating from an older version of Audacity to the latest version. I had an old MacBook Pro (running OS X 10.6.8) crash and I now have a new MacMini (running OS X 10.8.4). I have all of my old Audac...
