Re: Probleme changement hauteur/ Problem change pitch
Unfortunately i'm more interested in the start frequency, if i could change it then i would use the percent change box. The effect only changes the current frequency (whatever it actually is) by the specified percent change. The effect does not make the resulting audio be at the "To" Freq...

Re: AIFF files will not play on iPod, will on iTunes
The link opens and plays in safari. Not sure how to download to my computer. Right-click over the link - there should be a choice to save the file. Did you run a test on Audacity 2.x like my issue? Personally, no. The steps to reproduce the Export Multiple out-of-order problem are not clear, so I a...

Re: AIFF files will not play on iPod, will on iTunes
As far as I can see so far in this very hard to follow topic: Exporting multiple WAV files with no metadata play in iPod Exporting multiple AIFF files with or without metadata do not play in iPod Toog could play Koz's single "guitar" AIFF file (that has no metadata) in iPod - we do not kno...

Re: Probleme changement hauteur/ Problem change pitch
There is no easy solution on Mac that I can see - unlike on Windows, you cannot paste numbers in those frequency boxes. If you can work out the percent change, you can type that in the percent change box. It's fixed in the 2.0.4 alpha development build so if you want to try that, get the latest &quo...

Re: Support for ARMA2 .wss files?
If these files are headerless then I don't think you can use Extended Import Preferences to force the importer. You can I think use this command-line program to encode the WSS files to WAV: http://ofp.gamepark.cz/utilities/OFP_WSSprogs.zip If the WSS files have headers then please post an example so...

Re: Compatibility with Windows 7?
Please read this Tutorial in the Manual:
http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/tu ... ndows.html .
Note that unlike XP, if you are recording the computer playback using stereo mix then the audio you are playing *must* be audible, or you cannot record it.

Re: Can Audacity Show Where a Clip Has Occurred?
I think Koz's answer is correct in the way you meant, but clipping has another meaning of audio that is louder than +/-1 (the maximum level without distortion) - or was at one time. If the audio is above +/-1 then you can use Analyze > Find Clipping, View > Show Clipping, or play the audio and look ...

Re: Does time shift change the length of the original file?
If you open a wav file that is exactly three minutes in length, and then use the time shift tool to rearrange parts of the recording, does the new file remain exactly three minutes long? Does use of time shift ever change the length of the original file? The file remains three minutes long when exp...

Re: Saving issue
Windows 7 Audacity 2.0.3 I was recording a spoken event this evening, the recording was going fine but when I finished the recording an error popped up and said that the file could not save on the C: drive due to a lack of space, which is true. If the error mentioned the autosave file (Audacity's t...

Re: Analyze: Silence Finder is missing?
I am using Audacity 2.0.3 on Windows 7. I digitized an LP and when I went to break it into separate tracks I noticed there is no "Analyze: Silence Finder button". All I see is Contract, Plot Spectrum and Find Clipping. Edit > Preferences, choose Effects on the left, put a check (tick) in ...
