Re: AIFF files will not play on iPod, will on iTunes
Suppose you simply drag the Audacity multiple-exported AIFF files into iTunes? All the metadata will be there. iTunes > Preferences. Click on the leftmost "General" tab. Click the Import Settings button half way down on the right. In the "Import Using" dropdown, choose "AIF...

Re: Export options grayed out
Absolute newbie, Mac 10.6.8, Audacity 2.0.3, installed Lame. Imported an hour-long mp3 file and detached at silences at 30+ places. I think I selected everything, because the background on all segments is gray. I'd now like to export, preferably track-by-track, but all options on file tab except Op...

Re: Audacity does not launch on 10.8.4
Please tell me how I can send a message to the Forum that all Audacity 2.0.3 downloads for Mac OS X 10.4 or later are now (30July2013) damaged and will not boot on my Mac OS10.8.4. I started a new topic for you as your problem does not seem to be about MP3 files crashing Audacity. You can send a me...

Re: AIFF files will not play on iPod, will on iTunes
@audio_pete: Thanks for taking an interest, though it is still sometimes difficult to follow. We can't see what you are doing so you need to be precise when describing what you do. ;) Am I correct you split an Audacity track into three parts using labels, exported multiple without adding metadata, t...

Re: AIFF files will not play on iPod, will on iTunes
You can split the Audacity project with point labels, add the song title on the labels. That is all the metadata that will come through (at least with Amadeus) Add all the rest of the metadata in iTunes . Agreed. This is my workflow which I documented in a tutorial for the manual (and tweaked with ...

Re: UCA202 external usb sound card line inputs not recognise
Ive checked that info but it doesn't really correct my problem..... All devices are shown and enabled in recording sound properties (ticked) but, when connected, other than microphone USB Audio codec, theres no other inputs (line in/stereo mix) detected/available from the usb card My computer is a ...

Re: External noises being recorded
I have a M-Audio USB Transit interface, which I tried but got the same result. I have the Device Toolbar set to Internal Mic. Isn't that the problem, as I said? The internal mic is the mic array with small grilles, without a port you can plug an external mic into. If you are recording into the mic ...

Re: Audacity quits when trying to import mp3 files
OK - keep going with 1.3.11 - it may yet fail if you provoke it by using accented or non-English characters somewhere. Even 2.0.4 does not always fail with Unicode characters.squast wrote:Version 1.3.11 working just fine.
Thanks!

Re: AIFF files will not play on iPod, will on iTunes
IMHO the multi export aiff files from an Audacity project are defective. You keep saying that, but the only evidence you offer is what the discontinued Peak program says. We are still testing, but we are in the dark somewhat because we still don't have exact steps to make the problem happen. If you...

Re: AIFF files will not play on iPod, will on iTunes
Turns out that if you hold down the option key and select Advanced in iTunes, the Convert to ACC option becomes available. Short and sweet it was a great success. All metadata, all songs, all available on my iPod. from the multi export aiff files from Audacity into ACC files (if that is your cup of...
