Re: Audacity will not load on MAC
Please post the latest Audacity crash report after permission repair. To capture the crash report you can click in the report at top left then drag the selection to the bottom with your mouse, then copy the text. Alternatively open Finder, then choose Go > Go to Folder and type: ~/Library/Logs/Diagn...

Re: Installing to Mac Osx 10.7.5
Are you simply launching Audacity when you see that message or are you trying to import hundreds of files into Audacity? Look at Audacity > About Audacity. If it does not say version 2.0.3, download 2.0.3 here http://audacityteam.org/download/mac and use that version instead. Make sure you follow th...

Re: Audacity does not launch on 10.8.4
Having extracted Audacity from the zip or DMG, try right-click or control-click on the Audacity application in Finder, choose "Open", then in the dialogue box that appears, choose "Open".

Re: Problem with noise at beginning of Export using Envelope
I decided to try to have this issue rear its ugly head again with the use of just wav files for voice and music and of course, cannot get this to happen again. Some of the other users reporting noise have said the noise occurs where there is empty space in at least one of the tracks rather than aud...

Re: Previous tracks bleed into the new one (Samson G-Track)
I still can't see why we would set the playback device to the computer sound card so as per Koz's GTrack page on kozco I changed the playback device on all three Wiki pages to the USB device.waxcylinder wrote:Ok many thanks Koz - I'll fix that tomorrow

Re: Not Recognized
All that should be needed is: Double-click the downloaded .DMG to mount it Then to install Audacity, copy the "Audacity" folder from the newly mounted .DMG to /Applications or any other location of your choosing. Launch Audacity from the /Applications/Audacity folder you chose in step 2. D...

Re: audio levels w/headphones recording skype
In my opinion if you don't want to pay for a Skype recorder you are better to use Soundflower. Has anyone tried this to record Skype with Garageband and Soundflower http://www.wikihow.com/Record-Skype-Into-Garageband-With-SoundFlower-and-LineIn ? Or even this using Audacity and Soundflower http://ww...

Re: Problem with noise at beginning of Export using Envelope
I don't know if you saw my previous post too, I was able to take the original files aup and all and open on a Windows machine running Audacity 1.03, export out an MP3 and WAV without the issue. Yes I saw that. What I really want to see is a project just before the problem appears. Precisely. I migh...

Re: Zooming - Multiple Tracks
If you have six or more tracks it is often more convenient to use View > Collapse All Tracks, then you can use View > Expand All Tracks to expand them again, each track expanding to its last unminimised height. For example if you drag a track upwards after Expand All Tracks so as to make it less tal...
