Re: Previous tracks bleed into the new one (Samson G-Track)
The USB transfer rate is probably the limitation. The USB 2.0 specification allows for a theoretical 480 Mbit/s. USB 1.1 (Full-Bandwidth) standard is more than adequate for bi-directional stereo audio, but that is not to say that the USB connection is not where the bottleneck is. 2 channels of 32 b...

Re: Program crashed with unsaved audio recording
the version that I have is the latest version available. It is very weird that it did this! Lol. I did try to do the recovery method and it only was 3 seconds of nothing. Please be specific exactly which recovery method you used. If you restarted Audacity and it showed you the Automatic Crash Recov...

Re: DIGITAL WORK SURFACE
Audacity does not support control surfaces ( http://www.avid.com/US/products/family/ICON ). Is that what your feature request is? Are you a C++ programmer?

Re: Toggling between labels in single track
I have the various clips labeled, but I can't figure out if there is a way to launch a clip, let it play, stop with the space bar, and then jump to the next clip. Edgar came up with something in another forum. You may not need the first step or two because you already have effects tracks. Edgar is ...

Re: Track plays back much faster than it was recorded
By "charger" do you mean the laptop charger? If you can replicate that unplugging the computer causes the speed issue, have you looked at the Windows power options in the control panel? I think this is unlikely unless dropouts are the problem, but click through to the advanced power settin...

Re: Toggling between labels in single track
Click in the text of the first label. Hit the Play button then Stop button to Stop if needed. Or hit ENTER on the keyboard to close the label edit, then SPACE to play the labelled audio. Hit SPACE again if you want to stop playing. If you used Play and Stop, just hit TAB on the keyboard to move to t...

If you have an old slow machine with limited RAM and USB 1.1 ports I suppose you might have this choppiness issue at "higher" rates. What are your machine specifications? Processor: Genuine Intel @ 2.00 GHz Memory: 964 Mb USB: Speed: 12,00Mbit/s Version: 1,00 Revision: 2,00 This is very i...

Re: Lost sound

I named the file the same as an existing .aup file by mistake I am left with waverforms that look great when I load up the .aup file (to me), auf files in the _data folder but no sound I've tried...
