Can you confirm you are running the latest version of iTunes and the latest version of the iPod software that you can get?
Please see "How to update iPod for Macintosh" on http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1483 .
See also how to find the iPod software version .

Re: AIFF files will not play on iPod, will on iTunes
Both your iPod and Riff-Pad have problem when "Text Chunks" have an odd number of bytes. In the case of Riff-Pad we can see exactly what is going on, and that is what provided the clue for why your iPod (and Koz's older iPod) failed with some AIFF files but not others. [...] For Text chun...

Re: Ubuntu Crashes, AUP file now lost
This time, immediately after I saved my third Save As file, the program froze and I was forced to restart it. The older file (File 2) showed up after restoration...when I checked, there was no AUP file for File 3. The weird thing is that there was a _data folder for File 3 that had been created nor...

Re: Ubuntu Crashes, AUP file now lost
Thanks for the information. I'm pretty confused because the same thing happened today (AUP file mysteriously corrupted or made invalid), except the system did not crash at any point while Audacity was opened. You mean you closed the project apparently normally, then the AUP file would not reopen? W...

Re: Program crashed with unsaved audio recording
If you still have that recovered project open or you force quit Audacity, please attach the autosave file. To do that, open Finder then use Go > Go to Folder and type: ~/Library/Application Support/audacity/Autosave Please see here for how to attach files: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php...

Re: Audacity does not launch on 10.8.4
Do any other downloaded apps fail in this way?" No, and that's why I think the ball is now in your court. Hope you can get the word out. Audacity is currently signed by a developer who has registered with Apple. Accordingly if your security preference was set to the default of "Mac App st...

Re: Machine gun noise before I record
Make the phonolink the default recording device in Windows Sounds and Audio Devices then as an experiment, try recording with Windows Sound Recorder. Does that record without the noise?

Re: AIFF files will not play on iPod, will on iTunes
I have to download the old files without metadata (only track title and number) and see if there are also odd extra chunks. If user does not add metadata when using Export Multiple then Audacity will write the NAME chunk only. If the user types a label with an odd number of characters instead of ev...
