Re: AIFF files will not play on iPod, will on iTunes
Hi audio_pete. Here are a couple of files that are possible fixes we might make for the bug in iPod (if the developers agree). b.aiff d.aiff They are both second files from an export multiple. Could you see if your iPod will play either of them? Also (important for whether we apply this fix or not),...

Re: Disable Metadata
If you enter the common metadata before Export Multiple, then you save having to enter it 10 times, but you still have to press OK 10 times (one "OK" for each window) but does that have anything to do with the "bug" or is that just streamlining the work-flow? As strictly titled ...

Re: Disable Metadata
I hope you don't mind me quoting from the mailing list Gale: Steve, the point I am making and obviously failing to get across is that the best way to provide "no metadata" export is IMO inherently interlinked with bug 551. I don't mind - it's a public list ;) So I've read through the step...

Re: Disable Metadata
-1 on deciding on this until we sort out Bug 551 ( http://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=551 ) i.e. deciding what relationship we want between killing metadata export, hiding Metadata Editor and passing common metadata through to each export multiple. Fixing bug 551 has 44 votes plus 3 p...

Re: Exporting multiple tracks
Very often the Track Title metadata is the same as the file name. By far the most common use case of Export Multiple is creating files that don't already exist, such as for exporting album tracks from a recording to CD. That's why Audacity adds Track Title and Track Number automatically. Are you imp...

Re: Disable Metadata
+1 to provide a way to not export metadata. It has 10 votes on FR's so if Ed, I, Steve and Peter vote for it here that would make 14 votes. -1 on deciding on this until we sort out Bug 551 ( http://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=551 ) i.e. deciding what relationship we want between killin...

Re: Audacity file size limitations
Gary was using an old version of Audacity but now has 2.0.3.
I still don't know now whether he was saving or exporting but he said the progress dialogue moved forward then went into reverse and finished with the error about the disk possibly being full.

Re: Tascam DP03 recordings advice.
All I want is to take the 2 WAV files: TEX000_1.WAV TEX000_2.WAV Then record them on cd as a complete song. Sorry, I'm still not sure what you mean. Are TEX000_1.WAV and TEX000_2.WAV supposed to play at the same time (like a vocal track and a guitar track for the same song), or play one after the o...

Re: Audacity 2.0.3 changes laptop volume level while opening
Thanks, we are aware of a problem, but usually the reset is to "balanced" - please see here for details http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=70596 . Gale Thanks for the immediate reply. I did see the other topic above but in my case, I see that the volume level varies ev...

Re: PC volume balance gets reset
* In 2.0.3, do you still have the problem if you choose "Windows DirectSound" host instead of "MME" in Audacity's Device Toolbar? Yes. (However even if this solved the problem, it would not be an alternative, because recording with "Windows DirectSound" is glitchy; it ...
