Re: Sync radio audio broadcast with television video broadca
I stumbled upon this software that has the ability to Time Shift while recording. This is what it says: The Time-shift feature enables you to listen to recorded sound while a recording is being made. While listening, you can move anywhere within the recorded part of the sound stream and start playb...

Re: Freeze OS not work button reboot
Thanks for the update.
Does Audacity launch any faster with pulseaudio disabled? Do those error messages on launch in the terminal go away? Those messages are "normal" on Debian or Ubuntu as far as I know and don't indicate a general failure.

Re: Problem with noise at beginning of Export using Envelope
Gale and Steve- I found the problem and the solution to this. It is not involving envelope. Here's how I found the issue today and because it's a holiday weekend I"m too jammed to send sample, but I imported two 30 second WAV audio files, one stereo and one mono. Top track stereo was moved to ...

Re: Convert VSTi to VST for Audacity
Is there any plugin which can convert VSTi plugins to VST plugins for Audacity usage? No - there are "wrappers" that for example expose DirectX plug-ins as VST plug-ins, but Audacity does not support instrument plug-ins of any format. Please tell us what you are trying to do. At a very si...

Re: Recording from USB turntable in Linux
So since I am using Linux I should look for something called Microphone in the input list (which is pretty long). Does pulse see the USB turntable? If not, Audacity won't see it either. You may need to change the USB cable or make sure it is connected tightly. I cannot tell you what the USB turntab...

Re: Recording from USB turntable in Linux
Computer: Dell 3000 Audacity: 2.0.1 Pulseaudio Turntable connected to USB port on the computer Works well connected to my iMac. I can see the USB Audio Codec. Linux Distro: Crunchbang 11 I need to get this working on my Dell. I don't see Alsa ISB Codec as an option in Audacity. That's because it wo...

Re: audacity 2.0.3 & flac 1.3.0
i wonder if it is possible to use the "new" flac 1.3.0 library when exporting audio? If we have time, the release after next (2.0.5) will update the version of libflac we use. Until then probably the easiest solution is to use Audacity's command-line exporter and point the command to your...
