Re: URGENT!!Exporting mp3 files?
Alright, so I've recently tried to create an off-vocal version of a song, and I have tried to export it as an mp3 file, but everytime I try, the exported file is not an mp3 file, but just a file. Is there any way to solve this problem? By reading the FAQ's in the Manual ;) ? http://manual.audacityt...

I wrote it, and others reviewed it. ;) But you did not read it all, because the inform...

Re: Audacity 2.0.4 does not lauch on Windows XP sp 3
There have been a few reports of this problem on XP. Please try the suggestion in this post and let us know if it fixes it for you: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=74470 That seems to have worked fine. Moved to the Windows board. I can't remember what I saw but the 205 alpha ...

Re: Can't Get Audio in Playback
I am not sure this is relevant It isn't relevant to this topic - the original poster can play (open the playback device) but can't hear any audio. when I try to play a music file in Audacity, I invariably get the following message whenever the default sample rate of the Audacity Project is differen...

Re: Alternative recovery tool
I developed it for Python 2.7.2 on Windows 7, with an NTFS filesystem. OK so as NTFS has timestamp granularity of 0.0001 seconds you should be able to retrieve the AU file timestamps accurately enough to string them together in the correct channel order. I don't know how to do it in python but in P...

Re: [HELP] Noise remover
Four sliders also give more flexibility than one slider.
Frequency smoothing and Attack/decay are "fine tuning". Try turning the Sensitivity Slider up to (for example, 12 dB) then try only moving the Noise reduction slider.

Re: Seperate volumes for Stereo Mix input and output
I have to use an external device to control the volume while, ideally, I'd like to have seperate volumes for "Stereo Mix" and the headphones output. Is this at all possible? The achieved level of stereo mix recording and the output level depend on each other. Turn the output down and you ...
