Re: Command to move to next label

I have found the answer to my own question. Pressing the “Tab” key moves forward one point label at a time. Pressing “Shift+Tab” moves backwards one point label at a time. I haven't tried it with the other types of labels but presume that the actions will be the same. There are only two types of la...

Re: Blank sound files after crash, error 126.

The only real suggestion I have is to try moving the AUTOSAVE file and project _data folder to another location, then File > Open... the AUTOSAVE file from there. Other than drive corruption, a virus or interference by another application (possibly even an anti-virus or security application), I can'...

Re: Blank sound files after crash, error 126.

Do you get the same issue if try the following? Rename the AUTOSAVE file to ".autosav" extension (without the quotes), launch Audacity (it will not try to recover the project) then rename the file back to .autosave extension. Then in Audacity, File > Open..., make sure the box at the bott...

Re: Powered speaker

What is your actual Audacity version (all three numbers from Audacity > About Audacity...)? Thanks for all the suggestions. It does bump a few times before losing connection and could have driver issues. The USB is the same one that came with the speakers and I thought they should be of a higher qua...

Re: Very Annoying Error

I know of no reason you would need Stereo Mix to record an audiobook. This just seems to be the thing everyone says will make the issue go away, it's not like the system knows I'm recording audio books, I get the error as soon as I press Record or Play. That might solve "error opening" if...

Re: No audio or just distorded record on Audacity

Have you actually tried these steps with WASAPI loopback recording http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 90#p317890 ?

Answer that yes or no.

Just to add, a really easy way to quote a previous post: 1) Click the "Reply" button to open the reply edit box, 2) Scroll the page to see the text that you want to quote, 3) Select the text that you want to quote using your mouse / pointing device, 4) Click the "QUOTE" button i...

Re: Blank sound files after crash, error 126.

I've never had it where the recovery has brought back blank files. Do you have recovery a lot? I don't have it that often, i'm not sure how much is the normal amount but I think i'm probably at risk of crashing when i'm editing Audacity projects with tons of tracks. How many is "tons"? I ...

I mean, it's a beta and it looks like the author has lost all intrest in the project.
Other solutions require paying for an app, short of using a loopback cable.

Re: Assertion failed1

it seems that I will have to wait for the next release of Audacity. Editing metadata for wav files seems out of question the time being. Do you mean because of the assertion? 2.1.3 will have the same support for WAV metadata as 2.1.2: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/WAV#Metadata . Is it a an esti...
