Re: Lame Link Isn't Working
it may not have all the built-in symbols that the recommended version does. Have a look at the .lib and .exp files inside the archive :) I know the one you point to has the symbols specified in ExportMP3.cpp, or Audacity would report it as "incompatible". ;) And you're right that there is...

Re: Seperate volumes for Stereo Mix input and output
You've done well to compile Audacity, so congratulations. :) Are you using ASIO4ALL? If your intention is to record Kontakt, why would you choose a mic input? And why do you suppose stereo mix will have no noise under ASIO4ALL? And why is the latency a problem, assuming you are still recording only ...

Re: headphone output
We can't see your computer, but if you were using a USB recording device, try unplugging it from the computer: http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/fa ... k.html#usb .

Re: Nyquist missing files
The latest Audacity is 2.0.4: http://audacityteam.org/download/ though it may have crash problems when importing files. Your problem is almost certainly happening because you are running Audacity from the DMG. Drag the "Audacity" folder out of the DMG into /Applications, then unmount the D...

Edit > Preferences. Choose "Directories". Set the temporary directory to somewhere you have permission to write to, such as your Desktop.

Re: Lame Link Isn't Working
"The server at lame1.buanzo.com.ar is taking too long to respond." Yep, this site is very slow. An alternative is to download libmp3lame x86-Win32 from Rarewares and to rename it to lame_enc.dll, then set Audacity to use it ;-) This is not officially recommended, needless to say. A downlo...

Re: How do I get audacity to use the time shift when exporti
Takin' bets how many other things break when Time Zero becomes a variable instead of fixed. Where does the "Home" key go? I'll win that bet because export behind zero works with Export Multiple by tracks - try it ;) The Home key or J only goes to time zero, so a change would be needed if ...

Re: USB Codec Problem
Thanks for testing. To be clear, the Effects Preference "Rescan VST Effects" only scans for VST plug-ins. There is no dialogue to choose which Audio Units to load. The intention of r12571 (if the Effects Preference is set to enable Audio Units) is that there is a scan of Audio Units, but n...
