Re: Constant crashes after getting a new mic(windows

I tried the 2.0.5 version and it also crashed on me, I could not find the "palog.txt" file I looked in the audacity folder of the 2.0.5 version but no luck. Also I am using Norton Anti virus. Did Audacity crash or did the entire computer crash? If only Audacity crashed, did it crash when ...

Re: Cant record stereo with audacity

I had the same problem. After a few minutes of looking online, I switched the inputs on the turntables. It looks like one of the inputs is bad and one turntable is bad since the move. Does anyone know how to fix a slow table? It will not keep a consistent speed. I havent opened it up yet... Please ...

Re: Audio-with-music podcast doesn't record

There is no need to save an Audacity project though it is preferable if you are going to leave the project window open unattended. If you already have your music track and you already recorded your voice, what was the other track you were trying to record? If you want to record while listening to ex...

Re: Constant crashes after getting a new mic(windows

Is Audacity crashing, or the computer? Are you using Avast! anti-virus? Can you make sure 2.0.4 is quit (check in Windows Task Manager > Processes tab) then run this version: http://gaclrecords.org.uk/test-builds/audacity-win-r12575-2.0.5-alpha-20-sep-13-plus-padebug-cache-flushing.zip . Does that c...

Re: HOW DO I RECORD YOUTUBE VIDEO SOUNDS?

You can record Audio Playing On The Computer if your computer supports it. Not all do. http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/tutorial_recording_audio_playing_on_the_computer.html Just to clarify, Audacity 2.0.4 and later can record computer playback on Windows Vista or later, even if the computer so...

Re: TT play-through audio disables speakers on Mac

In Audio MIDI Setup, set the output to Built-in Audio, 44100 Hz, 16-bit. In Audacity, set the output device in Device Toolbar to Built-in Audio. Modern Macs don't have built-in playthrough. If Software Playthrough or Hardware Playthrough in Audacity's Recording Preferences don't work, try Line In . ...

Re: USB Codec Problem

Maybe some day Audacity will get the ability to just place the curser before an already recorded section, hit record, and record over it. That's one of our most popular feature requests, so it sounds as if you would like that too. In case you don't know, if you stop recording at the mistake point t...

Re: Mute issues

Try recording with Windows Sound Recorder and Blue as the default Windows recording device. Can you then untick the mute box in Windows and record? If no, you ought to be getting on to Blue about it. If it records in Windows Sound Recorder, try this latest development version of Audacity: http://gac...

Re: Editing sound and speed

If you apply the Amplify effect and reopen the effect, the slider will have moved because the default action is to make the audio as loud as possible. If you press Preview while in Amplify, the slider won't move between previews. If you were trying to make the audio progressively quieter so that it ...
